Judging by everyone’s comments I’m probably gonna go read the manga from the beginning.
As an anime only. It was entertaining.

The manga now has 101 chapters as a monthly manga. And the anime adapts using 25 chapters of the manga. if you feel confused You can read the manga after the anime in chapter 26. I would say yuuichi is goat. if you only watch anime, You might feel that he's edgy at times, and you might feel that he's a character with nothing but madness. But if you read manga You will discover more from Yuichi. He is a well written character.

I actually love characters like those. In my opinion the show peaked at episode 6 but then deteriorated in last few episodes again. And the last episode felt overly rushed.

upd. If anything, I felt like Yuichi wasn't psychotic enough when

Every action of Yuichi It was in his calculations and each thing he did would always produce two outcomes. He's not a smart guy but he's a normal human who knows how to manipulate people. If you don't like mc that aren't a genius. It's normal for you to hate him. But you don't seem to hate him. I'm really glad because I saw some people showing their hatred towards Yuichi just because he is not smart like the mc in other anime and he looks edgy sometimes.

This was a very good game for the last chapter, it was very hard to watch, it was clearly somewhat censored regarding the manga but it was still very violent, the concept of the game was interesting according to who is the weak one...

The "special" Tomodachi Game held by Manabu Kuroki with the kidnapped Kokorogi, Yuichi is in for a frenzy playing the Weak Win Game while not having his secrets be exposed through phases of torture...

For the guy's 3 hits against the girl's 1, the first: a punching game, that was just the tip of the iceberg. The second: fingernail ripping, and this was tough to watch. For Yuichi to strike his instincts of being leader, the third is tougher: Kokorogi's humiliating naked dance, or stabbed daggers to Yuichi's hand...

Yuichi is more than just your usual Devil, and this torture game is just normalcy to him for Kokorogi being the innocent victim. Instead, issuing a game to Kuroki for 10 million yen vs. amputating all fingers for a simple game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors Fingers", plus a million yen's bonus to all, it's all or nothing...

Yuichi won the game, and Kuroki's five fingers would be severed. Yuichi wanted to cut Kuroki's fingers, but there were plenty of thugs who could stop him. Tenji and the Tomodachi Game management arrive just in time to put an end to it all. Yuichi faints from blood loss just as he is about to cut Kuroki's fingers...

This was just the beginning of the tomodachi game, and I hope it gets a second season. I understand that the anime is toned down a lot due to Japanese TV standards, which makes the pain easier to swallow for most. However I want to see Tomodachi Game uncensored in all it's chaotic glory, so I guess i'll be reading the manga. I can't wait to see how deep the rabbit hole goes...

I was entertained by this one... but it disappointed me as much as Multiverse of Madness. It would have been predictable, but the MC getting them all in the game to break their friendship because he learned how much of a liar/scumbags his friends were would have been a more interesting watch. However, instead of our Genius-boi going full Light Yagami, he goes Shield Hero... which was a serious let-down. He's supposed to be some bada$$ serial killer yet he saved the basketball team's friendship instead of breaking the blonde kid's finger... then he didn't get to cut off that rapey, wunnabe gangster's fingers? What's the point of being an anti-hero if you don't commit? They turned my guy into a sheep in wolf's clothing...

The mystery behind the show was its most gripping part, but they spoiled it with a weak reveal mid-through... and I'm not even going to rant about the show leaving us hanging with the long-haired girl and her dad being professional con-men, but the way things are going they'll probably redeem her character too. Great concept that should have went harder. A 6 out of 10 :(.

it might be a spoiler But I don't think it's very important. What I'm going to say is that Katagiri Yuichi is a dual personality. His first personality was born from his mother. That personality is Yuichi Katagiri. The second personality was born from his teacher. That personality is Shiba Yuichi, what is his second personality You can read the manga to know because as you see in the anime he is Katagiri Yuichi who is kind because his mother taught him.And if you're going to talk about the mystery during the show I can say that Tomodachi Games are more mysterious. and what they revealed in ss1 It's only 10% of all the mysteries in the story. because if the mystery of the story is only. this Manga won't get 8.43 points for sure. The anime staff made a huge mistake in adapting only 12 episodes in ss1. If they do 24 episodes I think this will be Score about 8.2-8.5

Yuichi is a great MC, poor him to lose his 3 nails and injured his hand so badly... Love this anime just to see Yuichi. It's start very slow, but it is really interesting after the first game. Oh no, Yuichi won't participate on the next game? That would be a little boring maybe ...

I mean I get it, cliff hanger for next season but literally nothing was resolved. The season ended mid season I figured they wouldn’t finish the game but at least give us something. When (if) the second season comes out I’ll have to rewatch the entire thing to remember why that guys locked up and where that other girl is and wtf happened to the main character. The main character is interesting enough for me to have watched the season but not enough for me to rewatch it. I mean the whole thing is like danganronpa meets classroom of the elite with a dash of euphoria and all three were better. Sorry for the rant, just feeling a little disappointed

oh my god removed the fingernail, thank god they tone it down.
i remember that scene in Higurashi, much worse and traumatized.

turns out it was this special game was fake, and we don't even know what the reason behind him doing that right?

ended up with cliffhanger, Game no 4 "Trial of Friendship" but this time without Yuuichi?
hopefully Season 2 coming next year?

Overall Solid First Season 7/10 from me.

What a weak episode to end the show. They should've just ended it with third game. Manga is way better no doubt. But since we're talking about this season, the last episode did hurt the overall enjoyment.

Manga Readers are so annoying, I'm convinced some people don't understand what an adaptation is meant to be or do, if people want a 1:1 of the manga ... Go. read. the. damn. manga. and stop complaining that the anime isn't like it, an adaptation doesn't need to be a copy of the source material it just needs to be WELL EXECUTED in it's format (insert Dororo as an example) and most complaints here are it isn't like the manga = bad instead explaining why the anime isn't well executed, or buzzwords like pacing are thrown around but notice how these are in comparison to the manga? what exactly about the pacing made the story difficult, less enjoyable, confusing or dull?...it's frustrating hearing these pseudo analysis over and over that say nothing at all other than not like manga = bad ... Stop watching anime then jeez some the story was good very enjoyable, 8 or 9 out 10 hope it gets a season 2 even though that feels unlikely

This last episode was the worst imo. Im so disappointed by this fuking ugly b1tch kokorogi. She just had to say she takes the naked dance.. holy sh*t, some anime characters are really garbage. If there appears a seccond season, I hope so hard this b1tch dies there.
The previous comment: is there any difference in watching it 2 months before or now ? Idiot.

As a fan of the manga I thought this adaptation was actually pretty solid overall. The only proper issues are the fact that they only covered the worst arcs of the manga as it was only one cour, and the fact that they ended it with a cliff hanger but no season 2 announcement. Still a solid 8/10 and my anime of the year so far.

The cliffhanger ending was kind of tasteless:

1.No fingers were cut.
2.Kokorogi failed.
3.Was Shiho's father behind the "special" Tomodachi Game held by Kuroki.
4.No real backstory for our MC.

I would appreciate a 2nd season.

I can't believe Kokorogi role still related to 'that' purpose. I'm still waiting for her to shine more. But guess its for later, on the next game, i dunno. Then lol ofc there's a scissor-paper-rock game onto the tomodachi game. Nice! But still its a surprise that the gang was just impersonating. What's the deal with Shiho and her father? Wonder if she's actually trying to beat the tomodachi game management but using the way that actually ends up hurt all the surrounding, such as Tenji case and now Shibe, then she's even adding more debt onto the field. Once again, i dunno the detail much about that. Not even the identity of MC has been reveal completely, then with that kind of huge cliffhanger. Teasing hard or just fuck yourself to read the manga, huh? Sigh.

To be honest, this have its nice moments, leading toward great because of entertainment aspect is so damn right the way. However, the direction still lacking to convey the best way and the 12-episode only is not right for this anime to end, especially since there's no news following up what's next. I just hate that type of production so i simply judge this anime lower than it should, unfortunately thanks from those issue.

7/10 for now. See you later on the next installment, if any...

welp this is it. Overall I think it's fair to say this show was a dumpster fire, like seriously one of the messiest things I've seen in a while. But at least I was entertained thanks to its so bad it's good soap opera moments and the third game was actually really fun to watch. But none of those things come even close enough to redeeming it

(Generous) 4/10, op is kind of a banger

Hm, particularly not very fan of this episode; the worst episode in my opinion. They went gorish for the sake of impactful scenes but development wise it was kinda pointless (as if it were a filler). Fanservice episode for those into torture and negative energy -_-"
Ah! We had a bit of 'ecchi' fanservice if I can call it like that, but oh God, what a bad timing, really.

Well, in general a solid good psychological anime. Not a very fan of plot twist over plot twist every time though, it gets kinda of frustating and tiring over the time.

As this last episode ended, it´s open for more. Hm, I just hope they don´t drag this series too much.

Wow! That ending left a huge hole for more seasons, I'm excited for what's to come. Anyway, Yuuichi is being more loyal than I believed he would be and I think the anime escalated very quickly... things seem to be too easy for the MC, as if he were a prodigy or something, I confess that I don't like that much though BUT I think his plans are creative so I really enjoyed this S1.

Bruh this anime need a 2nd Season, ending was 3.2/10 while the whole anime was a 7.8/10. If though it was a good anime for some fans. I think that it was a interesting anime ngl, I thought in my mind that I was gonna drop out somewhere in the first 4 episodes but the puzzles, clues, and strategies hyped up my tenisons on this anime, Yuuichi has an higher IQ than his rest of his friends, even though he is the basically the Einstein mastermind of the game. But still I don't know what will happen next for Yuuichi after he got unconscious from the bleeding, I still doubt that I hope there will be a 2nd Season soon and I also hope that the next season will have a ending that is much more satisfied for the audience, it depends what scenes and scripts that will continue the anime for the ending for now.

Barf. The MC is just like every other MC at his core, they just try to present him differently. It's a shounen that could have broken from the mold, but it really doesn't. It's pretty weak. Just like Classroom of the elite.

The mystery part is even bad, just like classroom of the elite. No proper foreshadowing as they put all their money on "epic" reveals.
