I havent watched the trailer yet as im occupied, did we get a episode count because my guess is either 25 or 30

I think the first season will have 25 ep but chainsaw man part 1 (every volume to 11) will have 45+ ep (every chapter is a ep probably)

If you look at the old productions of MAPPA (especially Jujutsu Kaisen), you will see that they made 1 anime episode for every 2-3 manga chapters. We haven't seen any footage or VA releases of Reze, and Reze is coming in Chapter 40 of the manga. The Katana Man Arc ends at chapter 39. If we do 39/3 we can guess it's around 13 episodes

Ratio of chapters per episode changes depending on how the source material is paced and how much narration and dialogue it contains, since any spoken text dictates strict timing. Fujimoto is primarily a visual storyteller, so he uses a lot of page space moving the camera around. This condenses much better during the adaptation process: you might only need a few seconds of footage for a page without text in it, but a page of dialogue could easily take a minute (or more if we're talking something like Hunter x Hunter or One Punch Man). I think ending the first cour with Katana Man is a fair expectation, though.

But we don't know if they want to end the season at Katana.

the pace of chainsaw man is extremely fast so it probably takes like 24 episodes to adapt the whole first part

We didn’t, but it will probably be 24/25 episodes, split into two cours.
