Yea. Probably only a few weeks. I was just bored of it at the time.

I've had a few eras of my life where i watched it very irregularly, only one time where I stopped
Normally it's because I'm just not interested in anything for a while, or because I'm focusing on other things at the time. Oddly enough, 2020 is when I stopped watching anime as much because I just had so much to do. But now I've been watching anime a lot more regularly, and it's reminded me of what I really love about the medium.

my anime watching schedule has always been:

binge-watch everything under the sun for like 2 months > forget about it for a year > repeat

I might have taken it inadvertently and haven't counted exactly how long. Though I might've still watched an episode or two during a dry period so I should probably say that I've never taken a definite long break from anime ever since I started.

I've taken two fairly long breaks since I started watching anime. The first was for about 6 months in 2018 while I was studying abroad in Japan, and the more recent one was for almost a year and a half from 2020 until about a month ago.

The second break was due to a combination of not having anything I really wanted to watch too badly and starting work causing me to have less time. Because my interest in anime was low at the time I used my free time mostly for games/youtube then instead and now I've been catching up on some things I missed.

I took a half year break early last year because I was a bit tired of following lots of seasonals.

A long one every summer because of med school exams. Tough stuff. No time for anime.

I took a 10ish year break from Anime starting in the middle of my Junior year of High School. I never really intended to, but applying to college, finding a job, and general adult things simply took over my life. I still watched the occasional movie here and there, but never a series.

This was probably a good thing in the end. I have a hard time with self control when it comes to binging and I used to regularly pull all nighters doing just that. Don’t know how I would have graduated college with that added distraction.

Last year I finally dove back into things. It’s been fun.

I don't remember it all too well. It might've been a two-year break. Although it was an almost painful decision to make, I went through with it because of my reading-related OCD.

I returned to anime when I came to think that it [OCD] has become manageable.

Not technically a break. But I probably only watch 1 or 2 anime a season. As my taste in anime has change. aharen, kaguya and kongming are what i watched this season. Why? Because I just like to relax and chill nowadays and shonen and isekai animes no longer interest me.

yeah, I watch anime erratically. Now for instance it's been a while since I watched an episode of something. Mostly because I started reading the source material of my favourites.
Yet often I don't watch anything as I'm bored by watching constantly something.

Yes, I've gotten bored of anime. Also being busy in school. For some reason, being under stress makes it hard for me to even wanna watch anime.

At one point I did for a couple of years because the job I was working in was constantly having me working. Between always being there & being wore out from work, I had no inclination to watch much of anything

Constantly. Sometimes for months at a time. Reason is simple, to avoid getting bored of it.

2020 I watched only my backlog no seasonal. So while yes I still 'watched' anime I wasn't committing to much either.

Have I had a large break from it not really, yeah when I am more interested in doing other things like gaming or reading manga (I also take breaks at times) but I'm not usually taking long breaks from it. Even when I had a whole western live action sitcoms recommendation period I still watched some anime in between as I wanted to keep up with shows I was interested in but otherwise anime has been my tv preferred medium.

Technically, I was on an Anime break for about a decade. Mostly because adulthood started... jobs and stuff. Was religiously following Gintama stuff though. But I only got encouraged to follow an Anime again when I learned about KnY while I was employed, and later on Fire Force (which I'm still yet to finish). Then "2020" happened which gave me a lot of time to slowly start making Anime my main hobby again.

From time to time, often because of school or personal project, also whenever a new pokémon game comes out since I focus on playing the game then.>:P>

Yes, I took a full year hiatus from anime a few years back. I just felt like I needed a break and wanted to focus on some other things going on in my life at the time. I ultimately came back though.

Yes, frequently. I don't like doing one thing too much, I don't wanna grow sick of it by overindulging. I also just have a lot of other interests that take priority over anime.

I basically only watch anime when I'm in the mood, which can range from several times a day when I'm really into something, to once every few months or not even once a year.
