| I'm pretty sure there are more popular male streamers than female streamers, but it's the opposite when it comes to vtubers and I'm wondoring, why? Not that I'm complaining, I really enjoy vtubers! |
| It all depends on what you're seeking from each of them. From streamers it is mainly on what they are streaming which is usually gaming or reactions (I don't go to twitch so I might be wrong on what is the most popular on twitch etc.) while from female it is usually a cute face and breast&booty. While from vtubers it is usually their characters + anime related stuff + reaction/gaming, which I judge usually by what are popular clips (goofy/not seiso/timing/arara/other noises/hi honey etc.) Or at least that's how I would explain that, as I don't follow any streamers nor watch them live, as I usually come by some clips on youtube occasionally. |
| I have no idea why this is the case. Maybe we should stop all research and put all our money into finding out why this is the case. This is honestly more important than anything else that is happening. |

| If I want to watch a guy play a game I will just watch a regular lets player without the virtual avatar, since I don't care about their appearance. The addition of an anime avatar is a positive for a female streamer but a negative for a male streamer. This also goes for facecams and such. Male vtubers only really make sense for the fujoshi market that gets excited over anime guys. |

| There's an inherent appeal to anime girl character designs, if the past 20+ years of Moe marketing have anything to say. It's not the same with male characters. Anime dudes screaming at video games doesn't exactly have the same appeal as a girls with cute anime avatars do. The market for dude streamers has been established already for a while. |

| I havent even run across many males ones. When I have they were a different niche mainly focusing on just talking about topics like art and were gif vtubers not avatar rig vtubers. Also some of the female ones are males using a voice changer I think. I think it may be females are less likely to want to reveal their identity on video platforms which is why there is more of them. |
