| Honestly, OP? Except for Marin, Sakurajima and Yukinoshita, I respect your whole list. You've got a lot of interesting choices here, and interesting in this case is a good thing. Too many people with the same shit, and it's all so fucking boring. The three I mentioned are totally fucking boring choices, but 70% being distinct from the same seasonal and/or edgy teenage bullshit most people flood this discussion with is a very good percentage to have. This tells me that you seek out characters you can connect with moreso than just talking about the characters everyone else talks about, and that you march to the beat of your own drum without trying to distance yourself from what's popular or what's unpopular, either one. I think that's when you give off that vibe is when you're legit. I like what this says about you! I like your taste, too. I never say either of those things to anyone here, so you should feel honored. Maybe I'm just jaded. Characters like Sakurajima and Yukinoshita are just the total shits, don't get me wrong about them, but with Marin it's like, seasonal discussion has become so dominant that seeing someone post a waifu list that's full of characters like this is just so refreshing. Too many people just stop talking about shit once it's done airing to move on to the next thing. Waifu this season, "Oh, who is that character again?" the next. ---- Anyway, I'm done with the waifu thing these days. Years ago I was super involved with this shit, but these days I don't even really have a list to give. I just go with my own flow with stuff like this. Rigid categorization of stuff like that was never really my style, even when I was more involved with waifu stuff. I barely want to keep my anime list up to date, for christ's sake. |
