Do you guys think you have watched a perfect anime. Personally I haven’t come across one but I do think a perfect anime does exist but it’s different for everyone.
For me a perfect anime would require:
-Top tier story/plot
-Top tier characters/cast
-Top tier music/soundtracks
-Top tier animation/visuals
Let me know any animes that meet all the requirements.

If those are the requirements for a perfect anime then Urusei Yatsura 2 Beautiful Dreamer is perfect which makes me happy. It also means that Initial D is not perfect because the visuals suck so fuck that.

Monster and attack on titan
Best example of a perfect anime
Another one could be fate zero or death note

That's just top tier anime not perfect anime.

There's no such thing as that, even my favs have moment that I don't like. Even the best elitist anime still has flaw here and there.

I want to believe that there is no perfect anime, but I don't know what to criticize about Ping Pong the Animation. It perhaps really perfect.

I don't care about requirements and I don't think there's a need to have. Unless you are a truly professional critic that can really see 'objectively' without feeling any biased, maybe you can find a 'perfect' anime in all aspects.

If you think in your whole life (5, 10, 20+ years of watching anime) you have found an anime that makes me you go "Ahh.. This is it. This is what I am looking for. This is my GOAT. It will be my number 1 until I die even if my completed anime still counting. It WILL stay up there." This feeling alone represents the perfect anime for you.

So in this case, YES, I have found my only one PERFECT anime :) (which is showing everywhere in everything of mine lol)

But still, if I look at your requirements, Gintama does hv all of these below:
-Top tier story/plot
-Top tier characters/cast
-Top tier music/soundtracks
-Top tier animation/visuals

The top tier order I would say 1. Characters 2. Plot 3. Music/Soundtracks (OPs, EDs, OST) 4. Animation (early years are the 2000s animation but quality escalates from season 2). I may be biased, but it is also a fact.

𝑇𝐼𝑃𝑆 𝐼𝑁 𝐺𝐼𝑁𝑇𝐴𝑀𝐴
- NOT your usual shounen anime
- Pure comedy? DEAD WRONG
- Treat Gintama as SoL/weekly sitcom especially earlier seasons
- Ep 1 & 2 are for manga readers
- BIG patience for its 'slow' start

I don't believe in perfect art because it's all up to the person experiencing it, and it varies. Perfect implies no objective flaw (it doesn't matter how picky you are, a "perfect" circle will still be perfect).

Luckily the word "masterpiece" on MAL's 10 only means "done with extraordinary skill" and not "apex of humanity". As long as I really liked most of it, it gets a 10.

There's nothing more boring than the "there's no perfect anime" answer. Obviously the thread is about your opinion and I'm sure that everybody has an anime that they consider to be perfect, an anime you wouldn't change anything.

If I go through my favorites, Fruit basket is closest it gets to perfect anime for me (by meeting all requirement u are mentioning) especially in shojo or romance type.

All other my 9 or 10 rated anime somewhat lacks in one aspect or another even if they excel in rest.

Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are perfect 26 episode arcs, short episodic anime does not get better. Ghost in the Shell (1995) is a perfect 80 minutes, one of the best films of all time.

There is no such thing as a perfect Anime. Because one could say something is perfect then someone else could point out flaws. Based on your listed criteria, individually someone could find a title that they might call perfect, but it's not going to be universal for everyone.

Bruh another one of those threads. There is no 'perfect anime'. Everything has some sort of flaw in the eyes of somebody else.

It all boils down to your tastes and preferences. For me, it'll be SnK (Attack on Titan) and Koe no Katachi (Silent Voice)

A perfect anime would mean a flawless anime, even if Bleach is for me top 1 anime it has flaws in each of terms you've pointed, so in this cas so far I haven't seen a single "perfect" anime and I don't think there exist an anime which has no flaws in each of terms.

If I would have to choose from the shows I've seen something which would be very close to be called "perfect" it wouldn't be an anime which is in my favs or even close to be my favorite, so the "Perfect anime" in my eyes (of what I've seen so far) would be FLCL, it had a good enjoyable story and plot with unique style of presenting it + it was short and indeed it was enough to show some story, some shows struggle to show a good story within 12+ episodes. Characters are unique and original, (it doesn't mean that they are likeable or hatable btw, they are just different from other shows), music especially soundtrack created by the pillows which I call jokingly the "Japanese Beatles" is a perfect choice there, the style of music might not be fav for everyone but for the setting of anime is perfectly fitting and animation + visuals for an anime of 2000-2001 times, was better than enough.

A Place Further than the Universe is a completely perfect show. it's surreal how well crafted it is in every aspect with no false notes, nothing objectionable, everything calibrated just right. It's not my absolute favorite of my 10s, but it's the one anime TV series I've seen that has no significant flaws. if I showed it to someone and they hated it, I would simply assume they were an alien wearing a human suit.

OP just described a top tier anime. A perfect anime would mean that nothing could be changed to make it even slightly better. Such an anime doesn't exist. It's only sufficient for anime to be either in the top 5-10% to be rated a 10. To be rated a 10 in every one of those categories is even more stringent. To me, Steins;Gate and Chihayafuru are 10's. But are they visually stunning? That requirement would preclude almost all shows. Only high budget movies fit that mark.

I agree with on that movies will look visually better and have an advantage due to the movie budget and better production but with that being said it is for also their downfall as it is harder as a movie to develop characters and story in such a short amount of time. Only few top tier movies can do that so in that case movies don’t actually have an advantage

Exactly, which is why this doesn't exist for me. You said a "perfect" anime must have top-tier visuals AND top-tier plot/characters. That means it can't just have one or the other.
