Actually it was from the manga, tanjiros eyes were bleeding when fighting daki in the manga, so basically ufotable just adapted it.

Basically everyone thought it looked badass you are alone on this one my guy, and the design wasn’t to make him look good it was to make him look terrifying. And what is that question and thread even, the design is of course the author’s idea. Looks like you demon slayer haters will search for any reason to talk shit about it.

Koyoharu Gotouge…. The manga creator ._. In vol 10 chapter 81his eyes bleed because the animators are following the manga I think they started to bleed because he popped his blood vessels

IMO it makes him look badass sure it looks better in the manga but hey ufotable is trying their best to give us all an amazing adaptation

Yeah it looked bad but who cares. I slept through his monologue. I suggest you do the same. Take a little nap during Tanjiro's monologues. You won't miss anything. He just calls demons bad in hundred different ways.

Yeah I read the manga but in manga it looked ok to me. In anime he looked weird for me tbh. Don't consider me as a hater I rated the episode 9/10 in IMDB, again the looks in the anime with colours felt really weird to me.

Him using Hinukami Kagura for so long and him controlling his breathing in that way strained him extremely. His late sibling remembered him to breath and he broke down. Such stress could make the tiny blood vessels break in your eyes. Happend to me one time when i tried to hold a sneeze. And now imagine straining your body like tanjiro. It's not important if you like it or you think it looks badass or not, it has reason. And what i like about Demon slayer is that there are not characters who are strong suddenly. We are constantly reminded it's humans vs Demons. We see a development. And this road is not easy and they don't have to look badass always,ok ?!

It definitely looks better in the manga. I didn’t think it was too terrible animated though.
