I don't replace my phone unless there's an issue with my current one or it's broken (incidentally, I had at least four of the exact same model of phone throughout four years). As for my laptop, I've only had two (the second one I got for school last year after having the first for nearly six years).

High price items are typically replaced at a slow rate. Maybe if you are rich and collecting gadgets is your hobby then you will replace often, but everybody else updates about once every 5 years.

I usually run them into the ground, before I replace them.

This ground is soiled by those before me and their lies. I dare not look up for on me I feel their eyes

I usually get a new model phone within 2 years. Then I would give my old one away.

For laptops and computers, I tend to use longer and change to a new model after 3 or 4 years.

Nope, i will use them until they stop working, or have such glaring problems that can't be fixed. I like to feel like i got my money's worth.

I've gone through 5 laptops in 16 years, used them until they died naturally. I've only switched phones once, got a new one when the old one died and had my current for 4 years.

The only time i've replaced a computer when it still worked was when i bought a shitty chromebook (THese things are f***ing horrible. Worst computer i've ever owned) and had to replace it because it sucked rancid gorilla foreskin.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

My phone I've changed last years I believe? And mainly because I've just got a cheap nice offer so I went for a newer model of LG K's which I am using since LG K40 as I remember correctly, normally I don't change them, I used to change them more at highschool before I was used to wearing a little bag on my waist where I have my phone, instead of having my phone in my hoodie pockets which always ended up in being dropped while having a broken touch screen with a spider web of slices and cracks, I don't use laptops so I don't replace them.

I have been using my laptop for 6 years so far. Same with my cracked screen samsung tablet. At least I do not worry about people stealing it at work due to the crack. My phone is 1 year old, but it is a $30 cheap flip phone.

Computer: When I'm playing a newer game and I'm unable to get the frame rate I want at "high" graphics settings.

Phone: When I crack the screen.

Nope I try to keep them as long as possible. Ironically I got a new phone about 2 weeks ago though. But I had my old one for about 5 an a half years. I've had my laptop for about 4 years and have to plans to replace it anytime soon, still works pretty good for what I need it for (anime and school)

I only replace them when I've got issues with them. They usually last me 4+ years. I wish I had the money to always get the latest models lol

I think I've had my current laptop for about 5 years? my previous one got a scam on it which locked it. I've just recently bought an Alcatel Tablet, so I don't think I'll buy another laptop (I don't really use laptops much anymore anyway). My Alcatel cellphone I've had for about 2 years now. The power button doesn't really work on it. I don't know whether to have it fixed or use my Mom's (she has the same model) as she... doesn't need it anymore. I've never actually broken a phone by dropping it strangely (and I'm a clumsy fuck) my last Alcatel flip phone still worked but my previous carrier were forcing me essentially to upgrade to a deal I didn't want, so I switched to a new carrier.

This is my 3rd smartphone, 5th over all.

1st got stolen, 2nd worked for 8 years. Work was putting all updates on whatsapp so had to buy internet whatsapp capable phone. 3rd, Used it for a year and half. Screen stopped working, got new one, 4th. Used for 2n half years. Screen was again blacking out. 3rd and 4th were 3g, 4g was launched so got 5th one in mid 2019, using it since. No plans to buy another till this one dies or 5g.

Yes I'm a weirdo that likes burning money for random phones.

My phone history for the last two years:

Pixel 5 -> iPhone 12 Pro -> OnePlus 7T (burner phone) -> Motorola Razr 5G -> Z Fold2 -> Pixel 5 (so you come crawling back...) -> Z Flip3 / N200 (free, thanks T-Mobile)

Laptops rarely - because I only had two. A phone on average every two or three years - because I finally break the display, and its repair is more expensive than the entire smartphone
