What get's more controversy?
| Title pretty much explains it all. What's the most controversial topic or anime that exists? I just saw a thread for the "Sexualilty in Anime" and that one for sure I've seen a lot. But what are some other really big ones...or even what is the most controversial anime that you know of? |

| The "Correct Definiton of Anime". I've seen multiple of heated arguments ngl. If only google just said it's a Japanese Animation and not anything animation that is similar to anime art style then it wouldn't have been an argument at all. People are honestly trying way too hard to prove their point by saying"WeLl JaPaNeSe PeOpLe CaLl AlL AnImAtIoN "AnImE" when that statement doesn't really prove their point when they're not fucking Japanese. Sigh, if only foreign countries never got inspired by Anime artstyle. And also the toxic relationship type Anime like, Nagatoro san And the age gap type anime like Higehiro. |

| Aside from the ones already mentioned by others, I've seen Subs vs dubs, Old vs Modern anime, pirating vs watching legally, and Goku vs other characters. |
| That sub is better than dub. It's a pretty dumb argument and honestly it works both ways. Some shows are really good in dub while sub is ok, while some shows the dub isnt as good as sub. |

| When it comes to what's depicted in anime, I think it's indeed sexuality (consent, character's age, perversity, fanservice). It will always become controversial because everyone will clash in order to prove that it was useful/useless (for plot/character development), mature/immature (the way it was handled artistically) and realistic/unrealistic (what happened). And around anime as a medium, I think it's the objectivity/subjectivity debate. An unthoughtful and nonsensical argument will stay as unthoughtful and nonsensical no matter how many times you foolishly back it with supposed objectivity or hide behind subjectivity. |
