| I see people trashing on CGI constantly and most of the time I can agree with them. There have been far too many instances where CGI is used in an anime and it looks like utter trash, but then some people proceed to state that all CGI in anime looks bad and I was just curious if there were real people out there who have watched Houseki no Kuni and not think it's pretty lookin' |

| Good directors, storyboard artists and animators can overcome some of the limitations of crappy TV quality CGI and I feel like houseki no kuni had a bunch of those. |

| Me ? I like Studio Orange CGI style. What I don't like is Dorohedoro, it CGI dosen't work well in this show, it looks cheap. I wish if people will do full CGI show they should follow Studio Orange style. And I wish Houseki would get a second season after they are finished with Beastars. |

| I don't think there is anyone who has actually seen the show and thinks it looks bad. You can criticize some aspects of the story or characters but the audio-visual aspect is godlike. I think it sometimes looks even better than the already gorgeous manga. |

| yeah probably but I can see why, the CGI looks good and it’s honestly the best CG anime I’ve seen but it’s nowhere near as good as a 2d anime, I’m sure it would’ve been a lot better if it was 2d |

| Look wise it's good bt yeah I dropped it on ep 7 coz i got bored idk why though i wasn't able to connect with the story at all and for me it's really imp even if animation is god tier I won't enjoy |
| I think it looks gorgeous for the most part, but there's still a bit of an uncanny feel in close-up shots because the facial features feel a bit plastic. Maybe some people are more sensitive than I am to this stuff so they end up thinking that the show looks ugly. |

| I personally think that HnK is one show that is better in CGI animation. The manga artstyle is so unique and amazing - I doubt 2D animation would have been able to capture that. And Studio Orange did a phenomenal job on the anime...... I just hope the anime gets a second season. The manga ahead is absolutely stunning and it deserves to get adapted. |

| Yup, It's kinda funny because in the sea of shit CG anime, It's the only show that gets praise for the visuals, Yet I still don't like it... It's not that any element in the visuals look bad, It's the elements together, The very simplistic and solid color characters but the hyperrealistic, 4k ray tracing hair looks like a stroke. Like look at the difference between the sea and the character's face, It feels like two different anime with different styles taped together, Certain elements just pop out so much like a collage with no shadowing or something, It's just weird to me. And yes, I do realize that DoruCatana put this GIF to show off the beauty of the show |

This is the reason I skipped it...also its fans pushing random people to watch it without explaining what the show is about. Their main argument was "You hate 3D CGI right?" (not really), "Than watch this and you will be amazed!"...and the fragments I have seen on YT weren't that impressive actually. I have seen way better japanese 3D CGI at that point (2017). |
