| That's a no. My favourites are based on how much I'm entertained while watching the shows and also how they resonated with me. I have some favourites that are 7's because critically speaking, they have flaws and I acknowledge that. Still doesn't stop me from loving them though. |

Any interpretation of a rating system is only for schizos, autists..." Imagine how retarded. No, interpretations for a rating system is probably more normal than a rigid arbitrary rule that you want it be imposed upon. If you value the good more, make your system lower. If you want to make it clear how bad certain things are, make it higher. Of course there's a degree of agreeability to this. Make it either too high or too low devalues pretty much everything. For instance, there are people who mostly give out 1s and rarely anything above a 6. By then an 8 and a 9 don't make that whole lot of differences while a slightly bad show and an absolutely disgusting piece of garbage both receive a 1. Anyway, the reason why I'm saying all this is because a lot of people can't seem to understand why anything from a 7 and above is already my favorite. And that's just how I rate it. |

Which I know doesn't sound reasonable. I think there are few reasons I said what I said. Firstly I have no care about average user score for any show. I realize how incongruent this might seem, because an 8-rated show is more convincing to check out than a 6-rated show. That's generally how it is. But on the whole, if you use the 3-7 as average kind of rating system, I'd argue that it wouldn't affect the average score as much as you think. There are stats on one website that tracks MAL scores, and it shows that 7 is the most rated score. I do think it doesn't matter if you rate a 3 as average. Nothing about rating system is really a trend I think. So if it doesn't affect anything and only shows how the dude rates stuffs, then no prob? I mean it sounds fine to me. Of course as I said, there's a degree of acceptability to this. Making a system too imbalanced is inexplicably annoying. But whatever, I've come to not care. Second reason is I just don't like being objectively correct about a rating system? There's not much to be reasoned. Not that I can't take it when people want it the other way, but the dude I came across demeaned anyone who interprets a rating system differently. Whether this matter is subjective or not is up to debate, but no need to wage a war (which I will gladly partake if happens). | There are two types of 10s for me: - The first type is one that actually has almost no flaws and actually is a 10 out of 10 For example, Attack on Titan, Code Geass, Vinland Saga - The second type is when I absolutely loved watching it to the point where I gave it a 10 For example, No Game No Life, Death Note, Jujutsu Kaisen 6/10 of my favourites are 10s, half of them are because I'm bias |

| No, my favourites are the shows that have caught my attention recently and the ones I want to promote to other people; ie "look this is good, check out the page & maybe give it a go". So the scores vary, but they are all usually 8 or above, something i found very good or better. I can't count the number of series I've found looking through other peoples' favourites, so i try and change it up so I can advertise/recommend a bunch of different shows that I'm into, and these change over time as I constantly watch more anime. There's a couple of shows that i do keep in my favourites, Gintama and Nichijou, i can't recommend them strongly enough. |
