| It's a good way to determine who is who by such poll. First type is pretending to be tough, indifferent or simply wacko to hide their scare and insecurity - teenage type obviously which is full of pretentious and "edgy" attitude when the second type is about simple real person which hate to do something but do it anyway like adults do. First type don't know anything about responsibility, it lacks of self-analisis and simply stupid, anyone could manipulate such type. Second type prefer to think to much so could get depressed even by thinking about tough stuff not just only by participating in it since such type analyze everything and has its concerns, it's a skeptical type which like to ask right questions to right people. |

| unfortunately, I omitted pilot chicks but the only coward I know of is Kanou Nagisa from Iczer One, she preferred fighting tentacle monsters than get in the robot |

I guess Noriko would be more like Simon from Gurren Lagann since both of them go through characters arcs where they start off as meek cowards but transform into total badasses through their experiences. I understand you are looking more for the Shinji types who would never get any better xD |

I understand you are looking more for the Shinji types who would never get any better xD it's hard to differentiate them all as black and white / cowards and braves, like a poster above said, Shinji did a pretty good job later in the series. Noriko would be in the grey area. |
