| A lot of time great animation is synonymous with great anime, and some anime seem to have really high scores solely because of their great animation. (In my opinion, Your Name's story and characters weren't that good, but it was still beautiful.) But what anime do you think have bad or at least subpar animation yet was great? It's a hard question for me because I do think my favorite anime have great animation. But I would admit that Fate/kaleid looks nowhere as good as the rest of the Fate series. So, Kaleid would be my answer. (Also, I rated Kaleid higher than the rest of Fate series so far because Illya is best girl. Don't fight me because I'll beat you.) |

| I would take studio deen's animation/art style over passione's higurashi any day of the week but when I think of why I love the OG higu, I think of the story and the characters over the visual aspect. |

NARUTO especially during the PAIN Invasion Arc I know there's a lot of Arcs with bad animation, but this arc is most famous because of this botch. By the way @fluffycow17, what's with that poll?? |
| Maybe Ajin could have garnered more love by the public if it had good animation. I could see past it. I laugh at the fact golden Kamuy gets shot down by many for 1 lame CGI bear scene. That anime is golden! Nobody should sleep on it! HINA HINA |

| David Production's Jojo had pretty bad/barely existent animation before part 4 but it dodn't stop it from getting really popular. |

| I heard both Fate/stay night(by Deen) and Ex arm's story is dope but because of their animation it wasn't well-received.Also Meliodas vs Escanor was the most iconic and hypest moment in the Manga so I guess that counts. | Arguably a good chunk of anime with good stories and characters that aired before roughly 2003. I've seen a number of older series and movies that have held up, but many others have really aged. Interestingly it seems like early 2000s anime have aged more than most 80s and 90s anime I've seen. |

The animation quality itself is actually good, fast and fluid. You didn't like the fight because of the weird stylistic choices, and I don't blame you since I also think it was a failed attempt at animating the fight in a way so unique it became laughable. |

| Most of the good titles from the 1990s and before are this if we are talking about actual neatness and how pretty the graphics are. Relative to their time, everything is about the same since better titles even in the past tended to have more detailed/better drawn animation than their peers. |

| While I'm sure many would disagree that it's great, and I'd be wary of even calling it 'artful', Back Street Girls: Gokudols I surprisingly really enjoyed for its humor, and it has absolute bottom of the barrel animation. Like seriously, it's a low-budget slideshow with the stills themselves looking really awkward most of the time and faces easily entering uncanny valley territory, but damn if it didn't make me laugh. Dark, vulgar comedy like Prison School or Detroit Metal City are definitely my type of comedy and BSG delivered on that. |
