big brain take lol you do not realize they just added an unplanned episode that is the recap episode so the 12 episodes will have +1 episode now

they cannot extend the TV airing for 1 week for 1 more episode

For the ending they really need some more episodes , I want to see development in all the characters. If they managed to do this then it's nice but if they don't then I don't know where the show is heading. Tbh Cloverwork production should try to extend the no of episodes. This might help both story and the character development.

It should be 13 episodes now. Since the recap was unplanned and this anime originally had a run of 12 episodes, we are gonna get 13 episodes.
The official twitter or studio should clear things us asap tho

Most of the time recap episode aren’t counted as the episodes of the anime. Just like The promised never land got a recap episode after episode 4, and they categorized that episode as its own entry, so that’s most likely going to happen with WEP as well. 12 episodes and a recap. It’s still 12 episodes

I really hope we don't have to wait for the blu rays to see the last episode. Would suck if ep 11 (or 12 now) ended on a cliffhanger and we're left hanging for a few months lol

Yes - Episode 8 was a recap - just cut scenes from episodes 1-7 but with the Acca's doing a commentary from their point of view.

If you're not clear how the "Egg world" works then it's worth watching, if you've been paying attention then its just filler.

It did confirm what I suspected - If you don't defeat the wonder killer before the time runs out (but protect the girl) you have to re-hatch the girl and do it all again and if your wounds heal in the "Egg world" the damage isn't transferred to the real world.

Looks like Ep.9 might focus on the Acca's if we believe the comment made right at the end of the recap.

I'd still recommend watching it tbh. In comparison to the typical recap episode, it was actually done really well imo.

Personally, I have a feeling that there will be a second season. After watching the 11th episode I cannot imagine how to close the main and all the side stories in a single episode, or even in two.

i do not think there will be a movie or TV sequel at all

original anime especially tend to have a rushed ending or any anime overall got this complain of how can they end this in just few more episodes? but its always like it ends at least good enough
