Too many divas, kyrie should retire at this point, he is just not prioritizing basketball. harden is just a mentally weak player in the playoffs. KD is the only one that can do something for this team. If it is only KD that performs, they will definitely lose in the semi or ecf. And even if somehow they make the Finals, they will not beat the Lakers/Clippers and any contender coming out the West. In conclusion, Nets is just ass.

Sure he could have been much more professional and responsible about all of it, but James Harden really shouldn't be made the villain in all of this mess. He simply did what majority other athletes and organizations have been doing recently in order to achieve his ultimate goal.

Houston should be thanking him for everything he's provided them over the past years and I sincerely hope they pay tribute to him. Hopefully his service to Houston isn't clouded by his recent antics

I can't believe I'm pitying him....

Nah Houston SHOULD NOT be thanking him. What had Harden done for Houston? Absolutely nothing other than constantly choking in elimination games. Rockets fans have supported him for the last decade.

As Shaq said, Houston gave him Dwight, Cp3, and westbrick for him. And if any of you guys say, "If cp3 WaS NoT InJuReD, tHeY wOuld hAvE madE the FInals", the rockets were in the position to win before they missed 27 straight 3s. Harden did not do jackshit and did not carry the load.

I saw that segment by shaq. He brings up some good point.
Even then, its hard to say that harden himself hasn't put forth some of his best effort over the years. He's considered the best and most lethal scorer of the game and has been for quite some time now. He's been at the top in scoring and assists, so you can't call him a bad playmaker either.

Frankly speaking, the tools he was given simply didn't meet the expectations they were given. Harden has always exceeded expectations. The competition certainly didn't help either.

Cant vouch for his post season performances though 🤷‍♂️ thats a permanent stain to his Houston Career

I'll never forget their matchup against the warriors. That was their year to win it all and they had an historic meltdown

In my opinion, if Harden had requested a trade politely, saying it's time to move on. Rockets fans would be thanking him for the years.

But what Harden did was straight up disrespectful to his teammates, the organization, and the fans. Had he brought a championship to the Rockets, this would be a completely different story but sadly he failed miserably each time and did not meet the expectations of the fanbase and organization in the playoffs where it really matters. His regular season numbers were always impressive

Harden was the leader of the team and he did not act like a leader at all.

Jfc Maxey was the dealbreaker in the Philly Harden trade. I love Maxey but wtf. What the Rockets got was better than Ben, Tisse and two draft picks so they made the right decision.

Yeah, I'd have included Maxey and another pick if that was it took, but apparently the Rockets never gave us a chance for a counteroffer against the Nets so I don't believe the Sixers were the ones to say no. The eventual trade was done like 40 minutes after reports came out saying Rockets asked for Maxey and the Sixers were looking for a third team for draft capital. If Fertitta isn't being spiteful and gave us more time, I doubt Morey would let a decent rookie be the dealbreaker to getting a legit top 5 player. :/

I've come around to think what the Nets gave isn't much better, if at all, than what we initially offered tbh. 1 year of Oladipo before he goes to Miami, 2 bench players, BKN 22 and MIL 22 picks are likely late 20s, and they'd need the Nets to be worse than the Rockets in the next 6 years for the swaps to actually convey. Ben and Wood is a decent duo to start with, and Ben could fetch picks from like Portland or rebuilding teams that are better than the Nets picks if they decide to trade him imo.

Obviously still extremely early, but could Kevin Durant officially be the best example of a succesdfull post-achilles surgery?
I've seen so many stories saying the nba has never really had a truly successful post-achilles success story, so to see KD doing it with ease just makes me happy

Clips are looking sooo much better than last year. No ones taking that load management shit you know? But I still don't trust em to beat the Jazz or Nuggets in the second round lmaoooo.

For now the Finals spot is the Nets' to lose. If all three stars are healthy and they add more defense from vet signings, they steamroll the East. Unless the Sixers somehow add a star player that complements Embiid.

My predictions for the 2021 Finals is Lakers vs Nets.

Harden joining the Nets pretty much guaranteed that.

Kyrie is the odd man out and is more of a luxury at this point.

I expect Durant to lock in like he's done before and remind everyone that he's still the best player in the NBA right now.

The Nets just have to be able to get stops when they need it.

Hope so. Hawks got so much young talent. It's fun watching them when they look like a winning team.

The center position seems hit or miss especially in the East. Sabonis averages 20/10/5 and no all star appearance. Idk I try not to get butthurt nowadays w the All-Star selections. Bradley Beal as a starter was so worth it. With the win streak the Wiz have rn it was perfect timing

Second half of schedules released, so we got the whole thing now!

The Jazz with apparently one of the easiest SoS, so they just might hold that #1 seed! Would be nice to force the two LA teams to face each other in the second round assuming none of them slip down to 4. Thought they would do well, but never this well! Ultimate question is how they'll do in the playoffs now.

Both of those guys are past their primes and they don't really improve the Nets defense. I'd favor a "healthy" Lakers over them.

With a healthy Durant I had already picked the Nets to win it all since the Harden trade, anyway.

I think they are a better team with Aldridge and Blake but not by much. Their defense is what needed a boost.

I'm liking the new play-in format. These last 3 regular season games for a lot of teams are gonna be intense. Sixers having the 1st seed and not facing the Nets/Bucks in the 2nd round pretty much gives them a free pass to the conference finals. Lakers vs Warriors bo1 in the play-ins is gonna be juicy.

I would really like to c the Knicks perform during the playoffs and keep the 6th seed. I do agree that at the moment with Brooklyn but I think it's overstatement to say he should retire. Its clear basketball should be the main focus with their super team but its not as if he's isn't playing extremely well.

I can't recall the last time the NBA was THIS wide open.

There is potentially 6 or 7 teams that I feel have a realistic chance to win this thing.

USUALLY it's only like 2....seriously, the NBA is the ONE league in America where you could easily predict who the two Final teams were gonna be.

As for the Suns....you had an AMAZING year, but you done fucked up...you gotta face the Lakers.

And let me tell you....I see the Lakers winning that 4-2.

Gotta suck for the Phoenix faithful that has waited THIS long to finally have a championship contender only to have to face the defending Champs in the first round because it's a weird fucking year.

As for the Warriors....I think they'll get in as the #8 and give the Jazz a somewhat interesting series....ultimately I see the Jazz wining that tho.

In the East....it is WIDE OPEN....like...insanely wide open!

Knicks face Atlanta in the first round, not the Bucks.

And if by any chance you're IMPLYING the Knicks will definitely beat Atlanta and the Bucks will definitely beat the Heat.

I'd be cautious....because Playoff Miami is a different animal....we saw that last year, and I think there is still a chance we see that this year.

I'm not saying they're gonna get to the Finals, because I don't necessarily think that....but the Bucks did NOT get all that better from last year either.

As for the Knicks vs. Atlanta....could go either way.

Wanted to see Durant vs Westbrook in the first round for old times sake but, the Wizards got it done. They are in the playoffs.

Style wise the 76ers are a favorable match up for them but I think it's 76ers in 5.

My Fist Round Predictions - East:

76ers/Wizards - 76ers in 5 (rooting for the Wizards, tho)

Nets/Celtics - Nets in 4. Hoping the Nets lock in.

Bucks/Heat - Heat in 6. The Bucks still look like a regular season team.

Knicks/Hawks - That one I can't really picture. I wanna root for D. Rose but I really don't like the Knicks lol. Rose should of gone to the Nets lol. Hawks in 6.
