When reading any manga, do you actually try to imitate the voices of the characters, the way you imagine them at least, and their tones(like whispering, shouting, screaming, moaning etc)?

Or you're just reading all the text in your on voice?

I do everytime. I quickly choose a voice which I see fit for a character, from the ones I have heard in any anime from VAs, and try to read the texts with their voices, with more or less success.

I always come up with a bunch of different voices in my head, a lot of it comes based on the type of characters they are. The one thing that is different for me is Dragonball, when I read that manga its just straight up their dub voices from the anime, thats just ingrained in me at this point -.-

I think I stopped doing that with books since I was around 10 years old.

Yes only when a character is Chinese HAIYAAAAAA!!!

If you're having crippling depression, hopefully our videos will send you to another world and have you reborn as an isekai protagonist

Yah it comes natural to me, I read the manga with their character voice in my mind. I usually read the manga after I finish watching the anime of which it was based off, and for the ones which don't have one I use a similar character's voice instead.

I sometimes do, but in my head. Or my parents will think I've gone crazy.

No but on some random kids manga I might give the characters really strange voices for my own entertainment

Instead of the characters, I voice the sound effects instead like "Bang. splurt, crash, kree, step" and so on.

I know I'm weird af. XD

Worry not, brother, I do the exact same thing.

Since I do love voice acting I usually just voice it to myself. And sometimes I voice and translate manga to my brother at the same time. He likes manga but he is not that good at english

I always do that, subconsciously. I don't know how to describe it though.

Isn't that natural? I don't even know what my own voice sounds like.

The voices are uniform across and it kinda sounds like when Internet Historian does his sponsors' ads, though it's very faint.

I do sometimes as well, I just like imagining which seiyuu would voice a certain character and when the manga gets an anime adaptation and it appears the one chosen is the same I envisioned, it feels weirdly satisfying.
