| Pleasant episode because it succeeds with its narrative structure, typical of Slice of Life type anime, to link various moments and present new characters, without boring and burdening the vision, but rather to make it interesting and melancholic, and show how much all the characters they are tied to Chise; starting with Silky, gradually becoming more and more fond of her, passing by Ruth, immediately tied to the girl and ending with the relationship that Chise has with Elias, ever deeper and more solid. The drawings and the soundtrack are very beautiful. |

| I loved this episode. God, Chise... The way she started to break down when confronted with the thought of standing on her own instead of relying on Elias... I don’t know if it’s fair to call it love so much as necessity (at least yet), but he still means so much more to her than she wants to admit. I’m both pleased and saddened to see that she’s aware of her own reckless ‘selfishness’. She knows her flaws, but I know she’s tearing herself apart over them. Her familiar bond with Ruth is really charming; I love the way he’s able to see into her heart and tell her what’s in it, even when she’s unable or unwilling to — a perfect confidant. Plus, he’s a good boy! A wholesome succubus was unexpected, but also welcomed. I’m excited to see the dragons again too; I love all the whimsical and mystical creatures of this world. They really add to the atmosphere of the show. |

| Very chill episode this time around, after the events of the previous episode which had a ton of shit going down like the whole pact between Chise and Ruth, as well as Elias transforming to his beast mode fully. Elias is still hiding a lot of secrets about himself and his past and nature, and it seems to be bothering Chise a lot more than normal, probably cause she's beginning to care for him more and more as time passes while being hurt more and more whenever he dodges the topic. He clearly still feels scared of confronting her properly after the transformation, let alone taking that form as a whole since it seemed like something he hadn't used in quite some time for good reason. I also loved the bonding between Chise and Ruth as master and familiar, and it was great seeing Chise spend some time outside the household, just having some down time and shopping, even meeting up with a few characters along the way like the priest and Angelica too. Even met an old man and a Leanan sidhe called Redcurrant who lives from his life force and talks to Chise about her relationship with the old man. Interesting kiss though between Chise and Redcurrant though, never saw that coming at all. |
| I wonder if Chise is starting to develop deeper feelings for Elias. Love doesn't always need to be romantic or sexual...perhaps she is starting to care more for him; She thinks of him more than just someone who rescued her from her prior miserable life where she felt abandoned by everyone. I like how she genuinely wants to know more about Elias and is no longer satisfied with his half-true answers. I guess that is the true nature of love...you wish to know everything about them - the good, the bad and even the ugly. |
| When you see the references all over this episode in particular, it's enough to make a guess the studio and the staff behind knew full well what they were working upon. First faerie queen and now succubus.. feel like we're in a factory with only hottest women around. |
