Fandoms with a Bad Habit of Spoiling Manga Content

Even though this is an issue that can apply for any anime/ manga fandom, I just wanted to know people's personal experiences with getting the future events of an anime ruined for them by fan's who are caught up with the anime's source material. For me, it happened once before with Demon Slayer. I've seen so many YouTube videos that would blatantly reveal key aspects of the manga that were yet to be animated. Then, most recently I joined another Black Clover fandom group on Facebook. Every time I get a notification from the group's activity feed, it's always a post about some future events that have yet to be animated as well as the fates of certain characters. What fandoms have you been a part of that have ruined the surprise of future events in anime/ manga series that you follow? This of course isn't meant to be a hate thread in anyway. I'm just curious about people's experience with these issues.

Attack on Titan and Kimetsu no Yaiba, especially the latter.

But honestly, have you ever seen the arab community? if you mention ONE character in a comment section itll be filled with replies such as " theyre dead " and whats worse is that its very intentional lmfao

One Piece manga readers are so obsessed with finding spoilers in the openings they spoil everything for anime only's in advance. I know so much about Wano thanks to said spoilers, so the arc became less exciting upon reading. Also, JoJo, Naruto and DBZ. I know almost everything about those series without having watched the majority of them.

It's not even just to that extent with One Piece, though. I constantly get feed updates on One Piece on my phone browser's homepage, because I'm interested in the series, but have been spoiled so much for the past 2-3 years about manga events that were yet to be animated by the thumbnail and headline alone.

Everyone says Kimetsu no Yaiba, but I've yet to receive a single spoiler about the series. Guess I'm not seeing it.

The Demon Slayer fandom. They're just assholes who don't care about others' enjoyment. I already know what happens near the ending, and also some of the stuff that happens in the upcoming movie.

I pretty much got most of Demon Slayer spoiled besides the end. YT thumbnails, titles, and comments spoiled it for me. It sucked a lot, but I'm over it now.

Yeah,it's depressing when we already know what's gonna happen. But partially this is also our fault. If we it's a spoiler,we shouldn't open it.I try avoid reading reviews, author's section,Twitter and Facebook but sometimes I also got involved in it.It means I haven't taken the absolute commitment.

Couldn't help but Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) and Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) instantly popped up in my mind.

These are what I've been spoiled, which I saw these pretty much often on social media.

I used to join Fan Groups of Anime titles such as Attack on Titan which share lots of spoilers from the source materials but it seems like the Anime Adaptation deviated from both the Light Novel and Manga which made the experience less spoiler-ish.

Later on, I went to read up on creator interview articles and figured out that many Anime Adaptations are authorized by the original creator to have the plot deviate from the source material to create refreshing experiences for everyone regardless of whether they are new to the series or existing readers of the source materials.

Attack on Titan fandom is the worst offender of this crime. They just keep on spreading manga spoilers on literally any Attack on Titan comment section on YouTube.

Another voice for Attack on Titan. This is made worse when a big part of the show's appeal is the mystery. It's like the fandom don't want people to like their show.

Check out the Solo Leveling comments in Manganelo. You'd be crying twice of all the spoilers in there.

Tower of God, Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer are the worst offenders.

The younger the audience, the less self-control they will ultimately have.

Yes I really hate those assholes for really ruining the experience. They already had their fair share of entertainment, so why do they ruin ours? Every time I see a spoiler comment in a certain comment section of a video, I cringe so hard. The comment sections are places to give your opinion, not spoilers. They could’ve atleast included a spoiler tag/alert before writing blatantly ffs. if only all of us could be considerate of each other...

The basic stuff like JJBA, DS, and BNHA. Oh lord the amount of stuff I know from a series just by the number of spoilers is scary

Definitely AoT. The only option at this point is just to not even search the series. I can't even begin to imagine how much I would be seething if I wasn't reading the manga lol
