Now, if we also include female characters, the winner is, obviously, my girl Velvet (she's mainly from a videogame, but she appeared in one for two or three episodes, so...) -Color palette where red and black predominate? Check ✓ -Is driven by revenge? Check ✓ -Wears impossibly revealing clothes for the sake of it? Check ✓ -Has some belts around her body for the lulz? People use the word edgy on characters that they don't like, but if we go by the definition every single character that is normally series and has a pretty dark personality can be called edgy, so yeah add Guts to the mix. |

| I have to agree with Kaneki. Whenever I get some goodwill towards the show to maybe rewatch it and give another shot, I just remember his wailing, crying and complaining. The show takes itself so seriously while being so ridiculous that it accidentally cirlcles into being funny. |

| Do people here even know what edgelord means? How in the flying fuck is Hachiman edgy? He developed a cynical personality cause of his past. And last time I checked being Cynical wasn't synonymous with being edgy. Kaneki too , he has his edgy moments where he becomes the edgiest of edge , but his overall character is no where near being an edgelord. Atleast I can sort of understand people who think Kaneki is edgy , but Hachiman? Goddamn. Edgy would be someone like Thorfinn from Vinland Saga. He is edgy to the point that he becomes cringy. |
