| Though anime viewers often tend to think that a horrible anime show isn't enjoyable, I think that statement actually isn't true. While most of the times, the shows that you find horrible are unpleasant to watch, sometimes these 'horrible' shows can be pretty entertaining too. I think we all have watched anime shows that we thought were bad but enjoyed it nonetheless. Which anime shows are so bad that they are actually enjoyable? |

| I had a lot of fun watching crappy old OVAs like angel cop and blue seed 2. The fan service on the latter was top notch. I've also heard some amazing stories about tomino's garzey but I haven't seen that yet. |

| Black Lagoon in the original japanese. I love the fuck outta this show and don't think its a bad show, far from it but it's engrish is definitely BAD but I still enjoyed THOROUGHLY. Maybe it's because I'm not a native english speaker tho |

| I disagree so much with that statements. When it happens it's always one of these three situation: 1- You just didn't get the point of the show. You took the show way more seriously than the show did and the comedic relief was actually intentional, but you convinced yourself that it wasn't intentional. And so you think you laughed because it's bad, but actually the show succeeded to make you laugh because that was completely intentional. Some horror shows contain comedy such as Mayoiga and Another. 2- The show is just actually bad in every way possible and you just enjoy watching a failed anime or an unfinished show. These shows are quite famous because they have an amazingly low score. And I agree, they might be interesting to watch, but they aren't in any way good. Pupa is horrible while quite interesting to watch. 3- You're just in denial with your taste and you actually like watching your seasonal trash show or whatever. |

| In this case only consider the "bad anime" as bad productions, which some of them have aesthetic merits. Lets say Inferno Cop. It's production value is definitely low, but it's so hilarious and fun to watch. |

| Not an anime show, it's a single OVA, but Kachou no Koi was one of the most horrible things I've ever seen and I absolutely loved it. The art was shit, the animation was the worst I've ever seen (ppt slideshow level) and the story was also a bunch of ridiculous nonsense troupes mashed together. For anyone that's interested, it's a Yaoi parody. And as someone who doesn't like BL, I loved it because it was so bad. |

In some case the comedy was intentional and yet they didn't realize it was. And so they laughed at something that was purposely made to be funny. Some anime wasn't even created to be serious in its plot. They were written to be nonsensical entertainment because a lot of people actually like this sort of entertainment. I see many gorefest anime fitting in this category and it's normal to laugh at something like this. But to say that they found it so bad that it became good is wrong since they were experiencing the anime exactly how to anime was intended to be experienced. In this case the anime they enjoyed was good. Or the anime was supposed to be taken seriously but it didn't work. In this case the anime is not enjoyable. Laughing at this anime would totally be normal, but that wouldn't make it a good anime. There is something interesting in watching these shows, but they are generally not an enjoyable experience and they definitely couldn't be considered good. It's not something you like watching at all. Or it's just that they are unaware of their own tastes and they keep saying the show was bad even tough they thoroughly enjoyed watching it. They don't want to admit they actually like these shows. I'm not trying to erase people opinion lol I'm just saying they possibly are mistaking something. It's just weird that people are enjoying something and they still consider it bad. The whole point of this medium is entertainment and this entertainment comes from many shapes and form and fit in a lot of diverse taste possible. I have more the feeling that some people don't quite understand their own taste and what anime is. There are reasons why things like Mirai Nikki, Domestic na Kanojo and Mayoiga are being made. Because not everyone is into serious plot with complex characters. Some people really enjoy watching crazy things. And these types of shows are being created with this specific audience in mind. And in the end if it was successful enough for people to actually enjoy this show, then it's possibly actually a well crafted show in its core. |

| The Ghost Stories dub is an obvious one. It may be more akin to an abridged parody, bit still worth the watch. Kiss x Sis, too. Terrible show with a horrible premise, but I couldn't help but enjoy it a little. The first season of Phi Brain: Puzzle of God fits the bill as well Imho. Not the 2nd season though. It was just plain bad. There are a lot of episodes in the Pokemon anime that I recall being so bad they were good. Especially during the first few seasons. This will be an unpopular opinion, but I think Naruto should also be included here. The show has a lot of issues, but still managed to be entertaining despite itself. Other shows I would say fit on the 'so bad they were good' list: Freezing, Keijo, Gamers, and Excel Saga. |

| Sunday Without God is my ultimate so bad that it's good anime. For a serious anime it's just too stupid but that's why it's entertaining. |
