| I thought this was fantastic, really questions a lot of what we take for granted when it comes to magical girl shows. A very emotion inducing story that I enjoyed to the very end. 9/10, not for everyone, but for those who it is for, I'm sure they'll love it. |

| wow, what a ride. One movie left I guess. I definitely gotta rewatch this in a month or two. One of the few shows where I really liked all the characters. Amazing soundtrack, and visuals (especially the trippy backgrounds) |
| while i won't say the anime was bad, i actually enjoyed it, but the truth is, it was the complete opposite of what i was expecting lol for starters, Madoka did nothing for 11 episodes, i already forgot wtf was her power on the different timeline, and i watched it like 2 hours ago lol while this ending was quite interesting, i was expecting them to end together after defeating the big witch ... maybe to prevent Madoka's death they could make her fight without using her full power... there was no need to one shot the witch like she did on the other timeline... but i guess that is just lame wishing from me anyway i'll Say Kyouko and Homura were quite badass, but tbh i was expecting different stuff from the main character or the way the anime ended 7/10 guess i'll watch the 3rd movie tomorrow, hope it's a good one |

| It was overhyped , I liked as as much as I liked any other episode , nothing speicla, suddenly saw social media and everyone calling it legendary and the best anime of the year , many people watched the anime for it and got disappointed af So , yeah , extremely overhyped , it's just good , not that great , it was great animation-wise tho , as story it was pretty average |

| Never have I seen a more perfect ending in anime; Madoka makes the ultimate sacrifice, yet Homura still fighs on. Only itch I have with this show is that it does not have a higher rating on MAL. Should have a 10!!!!! |

| Unexpected, but it was a good ending. She sacrificed herself for others. But it's kind of what Madoka is in all of story. But i still fell sad for Homura :/ It is a awesome anime! |

| Having rewatched this in its entirety, I gotta say, it was better than I remembered it to be. First time through it, it didn't leave that much of an impact on me, but I felt a lot more connected to the characters this time watching it. Also, that OST is so good; I wonder why it didn't stick with me the first time. |

| Anyone else ball their eyes out?? Literally thought I would make it through with only some teary eyes until Madoka's litlle brother starts drawing Madoka in the sand and saying "Madoka! Madoka!" I literally lost it at that point. Was not expecting to be such an emotional ending |

| Mixed feelings over this to be honest, much like my first and previous watch. I feel like a few of the issues coming forth from the Madoka transformation was pretty much just left aside. I can't recall exactly if the Rebellion Movie covers those bits but I remember it left a little of a bitter taste thanks to the final theme and whatnot but here's to hoping this'll change this time around. Anyway, Madoka's wish is really grand, no doubt, and commendable too. Seeing those magical girls in the past get that little happiness in the end was touching to see, well done Madoka! God, having to end up as an undying "concept" is a really cruel fate though, got to feel for Homura who's been through hell and back numerous times and yet can't get that happiness token for her "very best friend". Madoka's mother feeling a certain attraction or feeling towards the name was really sad though, probably the scene that just emptied me. Homura moving on with Madoka's words was really nice to see and I'm curious on these new Witch-replaced beings. Damn, that teaser as well... Overall, I've definitely enjoyed this try a bit more. Going to up this to 9.5/10 (=>10/10), as a result. Been through depression and more, that's Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica for you. Going to watch the movie later this Friday and then rewatch the two episodes of Magia Record in preparation for the third episode and the remainder of the season. I just love this series! |

| Honestly, it's morbidly hilarious how in this brand new reseted universe, Sayaka's fate is still death. Well, at least this time I can say that she died under her own terms, protecting people as well as her friends as the knight she always wanted to be. Spectacular final episode! So as expected, in the end the only unpredictable variable in this whole circle of despair that Homura unconsciously got herself into always was Madoka's wish. Predictable at some point but still quite impactful and being honest, the wish of erasing all witches by her becoming a martyr is actually quite fitting considering her personality and way of thinking. In the end, this outcome left me feeling quite pleased. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable experience. Loved the writing as well as the characters and some production aspects were simply outstanding. Those being the OST made by Kajiura, the voice acting (Aoi Yuuki's performance as Madoka was especially marvellous), Kalafina's music and of course, the highly interesting art directing. Now on the other hand, my only "complains" about this fantastic series would be: 1. Sayaka's descent may have needed one more episode to handle the pacing in a more fluid way. Or in any case, I would have preferred a better "breaking point" than just making Hitomi a love rival out of nowhere. 2. This is mostly nitpicking since I love Madoka's mom but no matter how much trust she has in her child, I still found unrealistic the way how she acted in the previous episode about letting her daughter go into the city while a "typhoon" was being unleashed. Again, it's just me but I didn't find that scene too convincing. Other than that, I absolutely loved this anime. And on a side note, that after-credits scene tho... for some reason, I felt an ominous feeling when I saw Homura showing those huge wings. It may be nothing in the end but let's see what the movies (Rebellion especially) can offer. 9,5/10 -> 9/10 - Might or not become a 10/10 after re-watching. We'll see. |

| My explanation to myself needed to confort my soul: - Since when they repeated "Madoka has potential to change the universe", and this matrix universe controled by stupid cat dolls was crap, her great wish was predictable. - What really bugged Madoka was the concept of "heroes becoming what they fight", so the great change was prevent that Magic Girls (still existing), fighting magic annomalies (also existing), generating energy for stupid alien cats (still there), turn into cursed witches to hiddenly kill people, and now the fate of the girls is just disappear. - Madoka could not create a world without magic girls, alien cats and invisible ghosts, cause it would make the humanity be stuck in the pre-history. Finnaly, it is not clear in the plot, but that was the SECOND time the world was remade. In the 1st one, the machism was removed, and now all the improvements of civilization was made by girls, and a normal japanese traditional family has the fathers as homekeepers. :) |

| That moment when the last episode was literally better than every episode by far, i can't complain about the ending at all since it was the only way to save the world at that time, kinda sad that no one remembers Madoka expect Homura tho, so in the end Sayaka didn't survive well im glad about that lmao, wanted to see more of those Homura new powers, hope we get a chance to see them in the movie. |

| Man I'm such a mess rn holy shit. This is one of the most perfect endings I've seen. I kinda get that this kind of "become a god" plot points are not everone's cup of tea, but here it was delivered with so much emotionnal payoff for Madoka and Homura that I couldn't help but finding it perfectly fitting. Also I gotta say I'm really impressed by how much this show was able to tell in only 12 episodes. The story is completed, no loose ends, every character got a great conclusion and the universe fells very fleshed out. It's a wonderful story presented in a wonderful way. Animation was fantastic all the way through, the directing was, like, downright phenomenal, so many creative shots, an incredible use of lighting too that allowed the show to have a vaste range of tone from hyper colorful to super oppressive. The quick cuts can be distracting, but after a couple eps I didn't mind them and they actually sold the tension pretty damn well. An huge 10/10 from me, came in expecting a masterpiece, came out with one of my favorite, can't ask for more. |
| The balance in the Universe is still intact as there's always be evil to fight against and goodness to fight for. Homura is now battling in peace as Madoka will forever be her guardian and this part is very touching after all those painful time jumps Homura suffered throughout the story. I'll definitely rewatch this series a numerous times, the aftertaste is tight, heavy and bittersweet. Soundtrack (its interweaving in the process) and witch acid visuals are beyond impressive too. |

| I got/get bored of Madoka and Homura at times. Madoka is too brave about her situation although few characters don't have some moment when they annoy me. I also like Mami and they killed her off so ffs. Idk, I was cheering for someone to win and then nobody on the Magical Girl side did. I find this series in general kinda tedious for its battle rules (or lack thereof) and such. At least Kyubey memes are pretty funny. |

| Good show, but didn't get the hype. It wasn't more of the same, great animation, but too confusing. The ending was ok, but what bothers me is the fact that witches no longer exists, but now are thos spectres, which doens't explain much about. Didn't get the point of Sayaka being the only one who faded away or whatever happend to her. Maybe I should've watched after a LSD. 7/10 mostly because of the animation and soundtrack. |

| Quite a beautiful and surreal ending provided with heavy emotions to tie all together. I'm glad this show was able to recover itself quite nicely. Albeit, the first 6 episodes failed to pull me into the show, leaving me at one point even considering to drop it until it started to pick itself up in the end of EP.6. The Labyrinth art style also didn't help it's case as it failed to feel immersive in those atmospheres. It's unfortunate because many of the psychological elements and theme/character developments in the second half were really well done, but it feels like it's held back by it's premise of teenage girls becoming magical girls due to the energy in their high fluctuating emotions. If this premise was replaced with a more mature atmosphere to fit it's psychological ideals, I feel this shows impact would be a lot greater and in result, would have been more renowned in anime. With that said, I do feel it's weighted score renders the show over-rated by at least 0.3 and one too many 10's, with many probably evaluating the show based on the high note it ended on instead of the show as a whole. 8/10 |
