A lot of users on here tend to be watching something pretty much everyday.

I sometimes find if I feel drained from watching an Anime that didn't particularly impress me, I like to take a break for a few days or so. It's also a matter of if I'm in the mood to watch anything or not.

Everyone relates to this, whether that be a long burnout, a few day break, etc. Sometimes I'll watch a 25 episode show in 2 days and other times it takes me an entire week to watch 4 episodes, all depends on the mood I'm in at those moments.

I usually don't watch stuff regularly but just from time to time. Typically I will swing between anime and videogames as my main source of entertainment for a given period of several days or even weeks.
Avatar character is Gabriel from Gabriel DropOut.

easy. I watch tons in a row. Once I start getting burnout I alternate to watching youtube / playing more games / watching live stuff or doing something else.

If you count a week or less than that it happens for me from time to time but more than 2-3 weeks with watching no episode only happened once in the two last years for me

right now I'm consuming Anime(and Manga) in an alarming rate, but this is just the last half a year or so, before that, i watched barely 1 or 2 new Anime Per Year! , and this went on for like 3+ years( until as i said, i broke this curse half a year ago and have been binging Anime ever since).

Yes If I watch a lot of anime in short amount of time I get burned out, so I break from it can be helpful.

Yeah I take breaks. Even though I'm a big fan of anime, I don't allow it to take up all of my time, since I still have other interests, such as games, music, and YouTube. I'll watch about 4 episodes in a row of different series, then I'll take a break and do something else

What? Breaks? Is that a peasant thing that I'm too enlightened to understand? Taking breaks from watching anime is a sin and thus the aforementioned activity shall not be committed under any circumstances. Whoever does so shall be presumed a sinner and an enemy of the system; ergo said human shall be exterminated immediately.

Depends. I can go for like a week straight watching anime every day, or I can go weeks without watching anything. All depends on my mood and also depends on what I'm doing that day.

I get burnout once in while and I usually take a break from anime for a short period of time before returning. I got plenty of other things I do so I don't really have the time to be watching anime every day.

While I do try to watch a few episodes every day, I have no problem taking a break for a day or two. Looking back through my history, there are several times when I haven't watched anything within the past 3 weeks. Though I think because I don't really have that much free time to watch in the first place (having work + college + studying), I don't ever feel the need to take any breaks in the first place. I think if I had all the time in the world to spend on anime, I would probably start feeling burned out more often

I typically watch a said amount of episodes of anime daily, unless I decide to go on a manga-reading trip, where I pretty much just don't watch anime at all (or reduce the amount of episodes I was drastically.) Like right now I'm doing Season 4 (SuperS) of the 90's Sailor Moon, and was going to do all six episodes on the disk, but just felt a little spent out with it three episodes in, so I'm going to do something else until I decide to go back to finish the remaining episodes on that disk.

It's also good to divide interests. Like watch anime until that burn out feeling happens, then move on to something else. Adds more variation to the day.

I took a break for a couple of years before.... if it even counts as one. During that time I still watched 3 or 4 series which interested me, I just didn't watch an excessive amount of animes like I do today.
And I also don't watch every day, which means I always have enough breaks in between to avoid feeling burnt out on anime.

Oh boy.

It took me ten months to finish Hanasaku Iroha, from September of 2017 to July of 2018.

And I was quite fond of the series overall. I just wasn't watching or planning to watch nearly as much anime back then, was in no rush to finish, and am a slow-paced person in general. I would go weeks or more at times without watching a new episode. Plus, it's a Slice of Life style show that didn't rely on baity cliffhangers so I could pretty much just turn it on at any time and enjoy it equally as much.

Since this March I've been going pretty much from one series into another, but that still might entail me watching as little as an episode or two a day or as much as 10+.

I do have to confess to feeling a little turned off of anime mid way through or after watching a disappointing or underwhelming one.

I'm not sure if I'd call this a "break" as I did have a reason for doing this, but there was a period where I hadn't watched anime for months, and that made me miss watching it (And hopefully, I never go through that long without watching anime again). As of now, I'm trying to watch something everyday, whether it's a certain amount of full-length episodes or shorts. Maybe I'm being anal about this, but I feel like if I take a break, I'll end up getting lazy with watching anime. I guess the only time I'd take a "break" is if I'm somewhere for most of the day and I have no time to go on my computer to watch anime.

Maybe if I was going on a vacation or trip I would take a short anime watching break. It may be a good idea to take anime watching breaks so one wouldn't get too burned out from watching too much anime.

Me taking a break is like waiting for anime to finish airing. I was forced to take a break when I decided to eat X2 crazy spicy roast chicken noodle while watching shield hero in order to relate to shield hero's suffering.
