Decent movie overall but would have been better if the ending was done more properly.

7.5/10 overall.

I think I liked this one better compared to the first one more. First of all, the movie focused mainly in two characters so it was easier to build up the romance.

As for the romance, it would feel weird if Hina ended up with Koyuki. We really didn't see Koyuki having any feelings for Hina so if it worked out between them, it would have been strange given that she confessed right after she realized he was heartbroken. The timing was bad and obviously Koyuki would never respond to her feelings at that time.

Also, Kotarou gave Hina the chance to recover from her heart break. And she eventually fell in love with him as more time passed between her heartbreak and his eventual confession. So, it made more sense that it would work out because at that point, their love was mutual.

It is also recommended that everyone listens to the song during the ED. It basically tells the story of how Kotarou won over Hina's heart and confessed his feelings for her.

I am gonna give the movie a 7/10 here because while I quite enjoyed it, it wasn't something amazing and pretty straightforward shoujo romance. Besides, some parts were just too random. Didn't really see how that would affect the playboy type of guy unless of course they make a sequel with him and the other girl.

I think I will watch Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda. next since it gave me a reminder to watch this. That's all.

I really shipped Koyuki and Hina.
im so sad.

There's a part of me that wants to know what did Koyuki really thought of Hina. Because I personally believe that they would have been great with each other.. but sadly, there wasn't...
The ending was about Hina moving on and slowly falling in love with Kotarou, which is alright for me cause Kotarou is such a sweet boy and really cares for Hina deeply.
But nooooooooo,
my ship </33

my koyuki and hina ship just sunk
so sad

I want to know what happened to Koyuki afterwards tho :c

The first movie was better because there was an objective and it was achieved unlike this one. How could Hina confess to Yuki after he got crushed like that, you must think dammit. First give him time, then make him fall in love with you and POUNCE! He is yours. I guess the creators wanted a Kotarou x Hina ship in the end, I think it didn't give an f about Yuki which saddens me. As I saw in the credits visuals I think she falls in love with him in future, although too late for me after seeing those.

In the end it was a pointless movie, but with good music and super great animation wasted on crap. Poor Yuki though because I liked his character and wished they shipped with Hina.

Yooo that epilogue doeee!

I came into this movie hoping Koyuki would get paired up with someone by the end of it but he didn't.. damn. And it seems like Hina is getting paired up with Kotarou.. I was rooting for Koyuki at the beginning to be with Hina but Kotarou's too precious, I ship Kota x Hina now. It really sucks that Koyuki ended up getting heartbroken though, he mustered up his courage and actually try to change himself and still ended up getting heartbroken.. he was my favorite in the first movie. I hope there's a sequel featuring him and a new girl, this time not Koyuki doing the chasing, but the girl.

I think Koyuki lied about Hina’s confession being done to comfort him, because he didn’t have the heart to reject her… After all, Hina’s confession was bad timing since Koyuki just had his heart broken when Yuu and Natsuki started to date. :/ So, I don’t think Koyuki wanted to go through another love episode…. If the circumstances were different, Koyuki may have responded differently to Hina’s confession; I imagine that he’d at least receive her love letter, and learn how genuine her feelings are! ><
I didn't think of it that way but it makes more sense if this was the case. Koyuki's response to Kota outburst near the school gate definitely make more sense that way. It's unfortunate that he's being looked at as a villain by Kota then.

ahhhh, I like this movie a lot but it didn't really close up a lot of plot threads concerning the side characters romance, as well as Koyuki's. A big part of me watching this was to get Koyuki a happy ending and the series didn't go past what we've already known from the previous movie, as far as Koyuki's romance goes.

This need a sequel or two if you ask me!! Prefer starring Koyuki getting a new love interest, no matter how far into the future that may be.

Well since it's the sequel of the previous movie and the continuity of "broken hearted chain" Koyuki unrequited love and Hina unrequited love, and finally kotaro temporary unrequited love (lol).

Been following Honeyworks for a long time.Glad to see the adaptation from Kokuhaku Yokou Renshuu ( Honeyworks). The arts really beautiful, really enjoyed it. Glad to hear some of my favorite Honeyworks songs in it too, they also really blend and fit with the scenes.

Glad to see Sena and Midori got decent screentime, really wanna see more of them :D. and Kotarou and the gang too (Hina, Arisa, Ken, Kodai), tho i'll hoping on more screentime on them.

I really hope Daikirai na Hazudatta(Song MV on credits) would be animated, so i can see KotarouxHina moments, but that's ok, i already satisfied enough with it.

can't wait to watch the tv series of haruki and miou stories.
Absolute 10/10 for me, love honeyworks XD.

Pretty good movie! I didn’t expect this to take place side by side with the events of the first movie but they blended in really well, I must say. Perosnally, I preferred the first movie though as I felt the Characters, a lot of them in fact, here were a tad bit underdeveloped, some more movie time to at least 80 odd minutes would’ve been so much better honestly, but this wasn’t bad at all.

Depressing dose of Koyuki’s love life again in this movie. Why didn’t they just chip in another character for him lol? Seeing that scene of Yuu and Natsuki prevailing was even sadder this time with not one but two rejections. It’s amazing how the timing was so spot-on, and hence terrible for the Characters, for both these events. Got to say though, Koyuki’s sudden change in appearance was well exploited here in a way. Soon becoming Mr. Popular then but sadly it didn’t help much for him nor for Hina.

Hina, on the other hand, has sure been through a lot and so has Kotarou. It was wonderful how the movie was divided into sections to focus on their parts. Looks like Kotarou’s friends are experiencing bitter youth in the meantime, poor them.

Best moment of the episode hands down has to go to the masterful descriptive motion pictures in the end there with the song serving as a means to guide us through the weeks/months(?). It was pleasing to see how Hina’s feelings for Kotarou slowly resurfaced and that little awkward moment between Takamizawa and her was glorious! Dat grin and that too twice(later of which during the Cultural Festival I assume) xD, it was nice to see her playing the anchor role for the two. Really makes me wonder why she bothered to interfere with Hina and Koyuki’s meetings there in the first place though.

Great double date! “The person I love is .. you” followed by the “I .. know” was cho-very sweet in particular. Kind of an open ending nevertheless, some more closure would be highly appreciated but welp this is what it is.

I hope we get to see more of HoneyWorks works such as these, I’d love to see a prolonged and animated movie on Pride Revolution’s little skit.

Someone else caught the Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda reference on the tickets at the end scene?

Really nice movie. The art was well done.
Sometimes I get annoyed from some of the characters but not in this one. And i really liked the songs, looked like musical. Telling more from the story, from the characters, especially.

One of the things that people should take away from this is that love will always not end In happiness.

If you watch this expecting a couple, you will be disappointed. Though at the end, it is implied they get closer but not as a couple (yet).

I think I like the other works better but I will still give it an 8/10

An outstanding movies with a very touching and absolutely amazing ending. Worth enough to spend my time on my sad evening watching these show. All aspect of the drama high school romance, continue to the relations better upper and bottom-classmanship. This show really reminded me with tsurezure children so much, and i kinda haooy with that funfact. Well, now to he story, then.

Guess wrong for me for that gray hair guy on my previous movie comment. Instead getting him the happy young love story at the end, the plot keep him as the underdog with so much affection needed. What a laugh, with so much hardness making him as a bridge between those two movies keep related. In this show, i kinda mad with his habit, tho. But, somehow i feel, i understand with his feeling. Just, dont be too rude, man, really. And with that, boom, he deserve to be a single character with no love. Very nice. What a story, there! Sad, eh? Nope. Thats just how the story plot, making him as a device to, once again as bridge to support the linking within the true love of main characters one.

On my honest opinion, its a great story. Not an original one, tho. But at least its truly amazing way to ended the movie. I note, the pacing was too fast. While nothing can be a development to Hina feelings change and else. Even these side character development had a poor develop too, with so much detail come to Hina and her circle relations. Thats a sad, ofc, however, with nice soundtrack, as always. Beautiful credit scenes story running as a conclusion, i can't give worst credit for this show. Again, i gonna get a hardship deciding what is the best scores for this.

Comparing for the previous show, i think this is better, as a story, sounds, art, and enjoyment aspect of sections. However, the characterization feels cheap to me. Ofc, i think the problem comes to the duration. So, i wanna give this, at that little brain-storming, a better scores than the previous movies. As a sequel my decision must be better for respecting the whole series.

So 9 point per 10 may be good to me as an overall scores. Thats it, and thanks for this series, because its pretty nice to see how the story of high school lovers from the pov of this author of the show. Really interesting idea.

Poor Koyuki. I was expecting this movie to do him some justice this time around, only to discover that he lost his love interest and potential love interest simultaneously. I can't fathom how dense he was when he treated Hina's confession as a consolation though. I wouldn't really say he's my favorite character, but he can be sympathized with, especially seeing him fall outside the circle of friends that all characters are a part of.

It's so refreshing to have an anime that deals with procrastination properly and realisticly. It's not always a happy ending and that's okay, no "plot armor", you took your time for too long it slipped out of your hands. Although the credit illsutration implies, no, straight up tells us that Kotarou stays persistent and later on Hina will fall for him eventually. But focusing on the scope of the movie, it didn't shy away from a "sad" ending and I appreciate it so much

Idgaf if it's cringe to say that an anime is realistic, but this one is. Well at least when it comes to romance "plot armor"
