| after all of those years T_T the pace could be slow at times, and the side pairings is annoying at the start, but both redeeming each other after going out.. the pace is horrible tho. still, it's good for what it is. 8/10. will re read in the future. also there is sequel, tho i don't know if anyone would translate it. |

| Pacing issues in the middle of the series and it did annoy me that if Yuuto didn't talk himself out of it TWICE then he could have been dating Kotone half way through the manga. Yuuto falling into the stereotypical romantic comedy tropes for half the series was annoying and a bit of a drawback. Also wish the Kotone is Sayane story didn't completely disappear. They could have played up the otaku connection between the two a bit more as well, it also seemed to disappear with the Sayane story after which it unfortunately became a stereotypical romantic comedy for a huge chunk of the series. That's really all the bad I can say about it. Somehow Shimotsuki-sensei managed to write 84 chapters of pure romantic comedy fluff with no conflict whatsoever and very little drama and kept it entertaining, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable without hot springs and swimsuits (a miracle in modern romance manga). Kazuki and Sayaka were pure magic together. Extremely well written. Their story gets a perfect 10/10 from me. This is a true hidden gem and if not for the issues I mentioned above this easily would have gotten a higher rating from me (I'm strict with my ratings). I have no idea how this didn't get animated instead of Nogizaka Haruka. This is easily the superior title. 8/10 |
