| I'm not Ikuhara fan and this anime is one of the best I've ever seen. It has lgbt characters without any fetishizing, great showcase how some people are able to risk everything for their loved ones and beautiful art and music. |

| This thing was immediately blacklisted because of Ikuhara being involved in it when I first heard about it, so no opinion. I find his works repellant and not to my taste. Things I've read about since have convinced me I was right to pass on it. |

| I've watched everything Ikuhara's made except for Sailor Moon (which I'm currently watching) and so far Sarazanmai is the best thing he's made since Utena. |

| Personally, I think Sarazanmai (so far) is amazing: the art style, the fluid animation during "fight" scenes, the OST, the voice acting, the characters, everything is top-notch. Yeah, I see why it's not to everyone, being so over-the-top and "weird". Regarding the "rinse and repeat", I see it as Ikuhara's style, along with all the wanky rest. So far, I'm loving it, but my assessment probably is a bit skewed. Note: OD/ED are incredible as well. |

| Unless you're a fan or admire any of Ikuhara's visual directing most of responds can be summarize by the following; weird, pretentious, ridicuosly, "bad animation" and other nonsenses that many people aren't quite used to see from any or any of Ikuhara's work. And this is coming from someone who use to dislike Ikuhara as a director. As for the show I'm more or less pleased with it's central themes and overall directing (as expected from Ikuhara). |
