The manga is Beautiful. I really hope they do adapt the full manga as soon as possible.

Thank you so much! I'm kinda running out of things to watch.

There are only 4 episodes. Reading the manga is a better option.

If I were you I would read the manga first, at least a few chapters, not because the OVAs couldn't be enjoyable on their own without any background knowledge of the story, on the contrary, reading the manga would make you realise that there is not much story there to be looked for in the anime, and that the flimsiness of the characters should not be treated as a fault, since the atmosphere is the only important element.

While it is true that anime adapts only some parts of arguably best manga of all time, both OVAs were, IMO, directed very well, voice acting is superb, and light OST just helps make overall chill, kinda nostalgic and longing atmosphere.
To me, they are the best slice of life anime I ever saw.

Years passed since I read manga, but I think I was actually listening to OVAs' music at the same time.

I think it is better to say one of the best and not straight out the best because there isn't any statistic to support the claim, i'll watch the ova and read the manga to have a real opinion of it.

Is this Yakohama... can’t remember the name. I’ve seen it awhile back.

Heard about this series for a while, but wow, that looks really amazing! Added the OVA to my PTW list.

Agreed, I feel this way towards stuff like Princess Tutu.
