Thanks, I know you mean well but I think you misunderstood what my gripe was. I'm not talking about liking old anime despite having worse animation but I'm saying that age matters very little for animation quality itself compared to factors like budget, time and talent. TV Series have always looked worse than movies and OVAs with a decent budget, and there are plenty of old ones that still have better animation than almost any TV series from the 2010s because TV Series are inherently based on budget-saving animation techniques while in OVAs and Movies they often go all out and they don't have to keep up with strict weekly deadlines so they can take their time to really perfect the animation. Especially in the 80s during the golden age of anime so many OVAs were produced solely for animators to go all-out, have fun and animate the shit out of them, with very little attention to plot.

I just find it ridiculous to look generalize the visuals of the older decades as just being blatantly worse because it's just not true. Anyone who ever worked in animation or studied it will probably tell you that something like Akira is still one of the best-animated things out there, for example. There's so many 80s titles I mostly enjoyed BECAUSE of the animation/visuals (and the music), not DESPITE it. So I appreciate you meaning well and offering to chat (I'm always up for it) but you're kind of talking about the opposite of what I was talking about :>.

Yes I have a booth this year. Its close to the entrance so I'm really happy. My booth is known for its sexy body pillows and wall scroll displays. I am getting so excited but I'm not sure that I will dress up because it makes it harder to work.

It's not that I completely hated WA2, but it was just a bloody train wreck after the cultural festival performance. Perhaps my personal bias for musically-oriented anime is overflowing into this, but I felt that unlike WA1, WA2 had no "deeper meanings" in between the relationships. Some of the WA1 relationships were so convoluted and eccentric that I felt myself pulled into the story. This is in stark contrast to WA2, which I see just as an orgy with a bunch of dishonest girls who think people magically read their minds and fulfill their wishes.

Also the friendship-rehashing crap gets on my nerves. "When us three are together, Haruki-kun [boyfriend] is just a friend" is a huge kick to the balls that no guy should take. Haruki-kun does, making him the best girl of WA2.

Thanks. WA1 really seemed to me to have more of a meaning than the one I was getting. There was just so much things that I didn't completely understand. Ironically, I'm also the same guy bashing WA2 for its inability to match up to the depth of the first one.

Our opinions might differ on WA2, so please don't take it personally if I don't particularly think it's going down the right path.
