| So, how's your anime on 2018? was it good? boring? do you watch a lot of anime? For me.. well, i can't believe there were so much anime that i really enjoyed this year. Yuru Camp, Sora Yori mo Tooi Basho, seibuta, Hinamatsuri etc. I loved those! Sequels like 3gatsu, Overlord, S;G 0 also giving me a pretty good times. Not to mention i also watched so much anime from past year that became my favorite. I just can't believe how much anime i watched and how much did my taste evolve. This is the best year for me, it has been a great year. |
| i haven't watched many anime in 2018.. until i started Anime watching challenge 2018 and Aired anime challenge of 2018... there is many great anime this year.. but next year will be epic i guess.. so i look forward to watch anime in 2019 currently i am catching up with what was released in 2018 hopefully gonna finish by the end or mid of Jan 2019 |

| First half of the year I was busy with something else, so I hardly watched anything. But I still enjoyed great things like Sangatsu S2. That was one amazing show that I will remember for a long time to come. Last half of the year I have seen a lot of shows, some of them better than others. It wasn't bad year for anime, though worse than the last. Summer season was a bit disappointing, however. But overall I had plenty of time this last half of the year, so I can't complain. I will probably have less in the year to come. But that is fine as well. I found out that when I have to much time to watch anime, I get bored of it faster, and it also feels like I watch too many time waste shows that way. So having less time might be positive thing instead. |

| Resumed watching anime this year in May after a break of 3 years, so there was quite a lot of stuff to catch up on. Probably watched a little too much. Might take another long break from anime after New Year 2019 to keep the viewing experience fresh each time. Or just slow the fuck down. |
| I'll talk about few anime I watched this year Monogatari series - Finally decided to watch this, didn't become one of my favorites but it was a solid series. As for pros and cons, the dialogue felt really weird and pointless at times, but I think the dialogue just doesn't work as well in the anime. As for pros, the characters and the direction. Definitely sets itself apart from other anime 8/10 Whisper of the Heart - Based ghiblii quality and this one's my favorite. Unlike other renown ghibli movies, this is non-fantasy and it's very slow in nature. However the simplicity and the message the movie is trying to convey are what makes it so good 9/10 Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen - I'll talk about this too because original anime is also in my fresh memory. Not too many flaws, but like original series, it's super slow in the beginning and follows the "card of the week" formula, but there is constant build up and suspense. Unfortunately not much got to happen in this adaption, but a sequel seems likely seeing how popular the franchise is in Japan 8/10 Megalobox - One of the few new anime I watched this year, and being a huge Ashita no Joe fan, this was a must. I really liked the artwork, character designs and sceneries were really cool, the animation held up as well 8/10 Shoujo Kakumei Utena - One of the most unique anime I've seen, also very hard to understand what's going on at times, the anime is filled with metaphors and symbolism. Well I didn't even attempt to breakdown anything, and enjoyed Utena for its unique style and presentation. Also superb performance by Kawakami Tomoko(Utena's seiyuu), especially in the last episode gave me chills, still makes me sad she passed away 8/10 Minami-ke - The best supporting cast in a slice of life I've seen, absolutely carried the show. Also why I preferred the sequels because they were a lot more eventful with most of the cast being present. S1 & S3 8/10 S2 & S4 9/10 Asobi Asobase - Always nice to hear new voices, Hanako's character and her seiyuu(Hina Kino) were the highlight of the show 8/10 Haibane Renmei - Very interesting setting and the build up + the climax were amazing. One of the better one cours I've seen 8.5/10 |

| As usual. Some ongoing simulwatches, usually of longer series, some seasonals and every 3 months I binge the remaining seasonals and then before the next batch is ready 3 months later I spend some time working on my PTW. I gotta say this year wasn't as exciting as last year which gave me a bunch of 10/10 shows in 3-gatsu, Made in Abyss and The Night is Short, but then again I do rarely give out 10s and 3 of them airing in one year is hard to follow up. But ofc this year was still pretty good with too many good or great titles to even try and list them all. Just like most years are. |

| 2018 was easily my favourite year for anime. Soo many amazing shows. Only sad part is that zoku owari doesnt air like normal |
