| 2 chapters worth of material. Good stuff. Nightmare Luffy definitely felt more epic in the manga than anime, but I was satisfied with how he was animated. Looking forward to the next few episodes. Should be good. |

| WOW! Superb! I loved the episode, Nightmare Luffy was spectacular! It was a short, fast-paced and intense fight, really liked it, one of my favorite fights indeed. Let's see how this concludes. |

| fck yeah this episode was awesome. Finally "Night mare luffy" appears. I loved nami's and Usopp reaction to night mare luffy. There like who the fck is this 0_0. His battle was pretty intense, i only wish this power could last longer. We didn't get to see much of it. The Gomu Gomu no Storm was freaken awesome. Way to deliver a finishing blow. |

| I guess some people don't realize that "long battles" don't necessarily make "great battles". This is a textbook definition of short but sweet, I enjoyed the hell out of this. And, I'm glad that this is (probably) the end of Nightmare Luffy as it isn't as though he's using his own strength to fight in this case..I'd rather him defeat his enemies using his own abilities to be honest. I couldn't help but think that, and because of that thought, this fight ranks below the fights against Crocodile, Enel, and Rob Lucci. |

| OMG THAT WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FIGHTS i don't know why people have such a boner for long fights, like the final boss fight has to be 3 episodes long or fail. those can be good too but there's nothing wrong with a short, sweet and thorough victory - that doesn't dictate how epic or well-earned it was. i wouldn't want to see more of nightmare luffy - i want him to win because he's luffy, not cause he ate shadows - but i loved him for this arc. awesome. |

| Great episode, great fight! Although Moria isn't defeated yet, he got a well deserved good beating XD I think it's the first time that after the "big battle of the arc" they will have to face another villain right away. I am wondering how they are gonna recover afterwards... |

| I was hesitant towards nightmare Luffy and the shadow powers in general but honestly, I think this final encounter has been a blast and nightmare Luffy was super fun. A 2-3 minute one time power up that morphs Luffy into a monster is charming, especially since with how he was big and blue and had incredible raw strength I'm thinking a fishman or a couple were mixed in with the shadows he took! No one else has been blue in the series so far and many fishman are. Plus, before he showed up we got some awesome teamwork and it seems Oars still has some time before he's actually down. There was a part of me that wanted the Straw Hat crew to take out Oars and for Luffy and the remaining shadowed crew members to fight Moria and try and work around his shadow power but it seems with the preview that we're still going to get some more teamwork to take Oars down and that Moria continues to be an interesting villain fighting wise. He's so good a hiding behind his men literally, he's deceptive, and he's good at covering the worst case scenario like when he had his shadow stop the salt from taking out Oars! Sure, Oars does mean the fight is still heavy in the strength department but most of the fight has been a tactical one of teamwork and smarts. I'm just hoping the way Moria himself is forced into returning the shadows is satisfying! It's nice to see the annoying Moria get irritated by Zoro's confidence and his plans going awry! I do prefer the more intimidating villains who have humanity to them like Crocodile or Arlong, and even Eneru who was a coward who relied on his power and nothing more because that duality was funny and he was intimidating if not for his lack of killing power. But, villains like Moria or Wapol or Buggy or Foxy or the kinds like them do feel important for keeping it fresh and I do appreciate the fact that Moria is a new kind of villain for One Piece. He just seems similar to Eneru in my opinion because it feels like his entire personality is set out to make his beating cathartic, his lethargic and childish personality paired with his laugh make him super annoying. As for Zoro, sure, air slashes have been integrated into the world of One Piece, but he still does some things that stand out as unbelievable even in the world of One Piece itself. Like, really, how did he use fire in his soaring dragon attack unless it was entirely symbolic. And more specifically, he's kept bringing back his gorilla technique where he acts like Popeye after he ate some fresh spinach. With attacks like Sanji's flaming leg as well I have to admit I feel the fights have gotten less and less satisfying as they've gotten more over the top and less grounded in the known universe. Instead of having the audience be able to predict how they'll go they've felt like they've become somewhat about the characters pulling out albeit cool but random attacks. It's not bad, it's just not my style. Perhaps that's why I like Usopp's fights so much, the fact that he pulls out new tactics always feel both aligned with his character and integrated into the anime's universe in a believable fashion. If Kuma decides to help things will get very serious very fast but I assume he won't as he wasn't ordered to by the government and Moria doesn't want him to. Instead this is more problematic in the way that Kuma will be able to study Luffy and his crew for the inevitable time they do fight. |
| Nightmare Luffy was so powerful that he ended up beating both Oars and Moria so one-sidedly that it looked like he was just playing around. The fight went by so quickly that it honestly shocked me and I have to admit that I'm glad that their fight against Moria didn't end there thanks to the next episode's preview because it would've been pretty anticlimactic if the arc ended this suddenly. I guess that it's a relief that Luffy decided to prolong his fun instead of throwing Oars into the ocean so he can kill two birds with one stone for entertainment's sake uwu |

| ...I guess I'm the oddball in this LOL! I thought this episode was ok and anti-climatic. At first, even though it looks kinda bleak with Usopp, Nami, and Zoro going against Oars, Moris, and his shadow, I was actually rooting for the remaining 3 to try to take down Oars at least. I thought Zoro got it down with Oar's right arm but failed. Then, I had hoped that Usopp would get the salt down but failed because of Moria's clever shadow. Nami, eh.. she had her stick to use but decided to hold onto it for w/e reason. I would hope she thought of something clever to defeat Oars but nope. That was somewhat disappointing. In my previous ep discussion, I was hoping that they would at least get Oars down without Luffy's involvement-- but lo and behold, Luffy came to save the day (again). I hope in future episodes that the crew members can be able to take down a powerful sub-villain together without Luffy's help. Wishful thinking lmfao... |
