| Is the raw out? Didn't realize it. Man, I am stoked!!! Of course the reactions and such were expected, but did you see that epic 2-page spread with Luffy and Whitebeard!? Man, oh man. I don't know, maybe I'm just a sucker for 2-page spreads of the epic proportions. Anyway, I kind of had to do a lol at Whitebeard's non-reaction to Crocodile attacking him. It was almost like Whitebeard didn't even notice him. And to think, during the Alabasta arc, we thought he was a pretty strong person. Makes you put things in perspective. I'm kind of happy that despite being a rookie, Luffy is still getting the well-deserved recognition from Shichibukai and Admirals alike. Even though -- at this point -- Luffy hasn't shown us that he could control his haki and actually put up a fight against some of the tougher opponents in this war, it still makes me pretty excited to see that Luffy is viewed as a pretty big threat to them. Loved Garp's reaction and can't wait to see how this all unfolds. |

I'm happy to finally see Luffy getting some recognition from the big bosses of the war, though we still don't know how he is going to keep up with Whitebeard's "importance" throughout this entire epicness. As for the next chapter... I have no idea about what's going to happen. It's all up to Oda-chi. |

We really weren't shown much of what he is thinking right now of Luffy's arrival. Surprised, yes. But I'm curious to see if he's angry with Luffy on coming (which he probably is) or somewhat happy too? Also gotta keep in mind this is being broadcast to the entire world. Everyone is going to see Luffy now. :D But man, I wonder what direction this war will go in next. The next chapter is definitely up in the air. |

| Luffy challenging whitebeard... can't see why the others are so surprised, but hell yea, tell it to the old man and show him whos boss. Now I'm even more stoked to see how Luffy will grow stronger. Although despite the attention given to him I can't see him affecting this large scale war of the worlds with his current power. On a side note, Luffy's crew is becoming so obscured by all these big figures, so much that it doesn't matter if they don't return for the next 100 chapters lol. |

| It was very lucky that Akainu melted that ice some chapters ago. So Luffy wasn't the only survivor. Luffy just appeared from sky in front of WB and declared that he is the one to become pirate king. In national broadcast. In front of THE Whitebeard! Btw, I have been thinking... You believe Whitebeard would use his connections to bring Strawhat's together after all this is over? |

| Oda is amazing, each and every week it is some new kind of epicness. Whitebeard and Luffy's 2 page spread was amazing, can't wait for next chapter. I am also a little curious as to what Boa is going to do now that Luffy has shown up. |
| O-Y! O-Y! Luffy challenging Whitebeard? He's totally not strong enough to take care of anyone down there, unless they are gonna tell us that he had developed some new moves that powered him up behind our backs(like that hakki stuff they were talking about earlier), like he did with the whole second gear and third gear moves (We were never shown how he got the moves, only that he has already gotten the moves). Cuz I definitely can't see him making any damage not to even talk about saving Ace, without a huge power up. |

| Excited. But unless Luffy miraculously has a higher control on haki I don't see him doing much damage. I think at most he should stick to saving Ace. The downside is next is round 2 of the war. An things are about to get serious. |

| dam that was one great of a chapter, loved the expected reaction from everyone I was so happy when Luffy stopped Croc i was like he better stop him, and he did; that's one good way to take get attention. and hehehe i was god dam waiting for him to say to Whitebeard that he was going to be come the Pirate king to his face. lol great stuff |

| Luffy meeting WB was even more epic than the epic epics usually are. I'll post more observations later. Ishmael said: Excited. An things are about to get serious. Luffy's gonna have an impact, but it's not a Kobe-type of impact, more of a derek Fisher or Shannon Brown type. Look at Luffy's immediate impact this chapter: + Jimbei + Iva-san - Croc/Mr. 1 ? Buggy and Impel prisoners + Hancock In short, Luffy's a game-changer. Plus, he has that X-factor with him as well. So while I still don't believe he'll actually defeat someone outrageous, he'll still contribute (I can't really see how Ace will actually die at this stage). |

| ^^ yes, there has. maybe some other work for the movie this december. now, some observations: I completely didn't see WB's waves being why the prisoners dropped from such height (LOL at them falling the other way). I had an inkling Jozu's ice hole would save them so good on that. Page 6 top panel. Wolverine-tonfa guy. Awesome. Wish the SH would meet some of these pirates in the New World. Great reactions from everyone. Oda using Crocodile to get some Luffy/WB interaction = Brilliant. one of those things that makes you believe Oda has this scene in mind ever since Croc started expressing his intention to kill WB. Luffy's PK speech = great. It's naive and bashful, but we all believe him. All in all, this chapter was Luffy's big debut to the Top Tier club, with WB on his side. I can't think of a better entrance. |
