THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Wow, she was awesome, dunno if she is from the Black Organization but one thing is sure, she is keeping an eye on Conan.
But, the biggest question remains, how the fuck didn't the police find the money when they checked the basement?
It was right next to the skeleton.

Well the next episodes will be anime originals so I am not eager to watch them.

Interesting, here we are remained about this little girl Maria. The last case before the manga hiatus is connected to her (the regular mystery not the overarching ones).

Conan you don't even notice this case was lead on you by the new teacher after solving 890 episode worth of case?

I expect him to notice something when she "lied" about getting stuff from the old place or give him a lot of hint for solving this case.

I mean come on he can comment something like "i don't think the stuff you are looking for are from there" that place was dead for about 10 year i am sure there is somewhere else to get what teacher need.
Into the Internet!

Bad ass teacher....though I doubt she really is a teacher now that she's shown some of the tricks up her sleeve. At least we know she's no ordinary teacher that she presents herself to be.

I want to know more about Wakasa-sensei now (if that's really her name), her true identity, motive for becoming an assisant teacher, why she's acting/pretending to be clumsy when she's a skilled fighter (a fight I wish they would have shown), and has just as much if not more so deductive smarts to be intentionally giving Conan hints. So many secrets....And I bet it'll be another 100 episodes + 1 more movie before we get back on track story-wise.

Not very smart of Conan to reveal his primary tool of choice/weapon (depending on who you ask) to a stranger he knows little about, especially since he's met several disguised Black Organization/undercover law enforcement members on multiple occasions before. May as well reveal his voice-changing bow-tie as well if he's sharing all of his secrets.

Both the police department and forensics team been shown to be sloppy at their jobs for years on this show, overlooking vital clues needed to solve a crime that's more easily found by the cleaning lady (so Conan can find the MacGuffin to move the plot forward). I put that type of anime/manga logic in the same hat as everybody being a genius detective, better than actual police detectives in this series (a joke they've made poking fun at themselves on more than one occasion). Nothing new IMO.

@4Kids: As a manga reader, the plot is moving very fast now and it is just a matter that TMS will produced how many non-manga content this year.

Yeah, when will Aoyama to come back? I'm don't want to rush his recovery, but I'm a little bit concerned.

Aoyama doesn't seemed that ill. He still attend fan meeting. Maybe he is just exhausted and want to spend time playing Kan-cole.

Nah not bad handwriting.

The water radical is called 三点水 (san dian shui) in Chinese or 三水 (sanzui) in Japanese which translates to 3 dot water or 3 water. This distinguishes it from the ice radical 冫called 二水 (nisui) or 2 water in Japanese. So writing 3 (三) is a perfectly okay full-size rendition/abbreviation for the water radical when it's clear you're talking about radicals.

The katakana ミ (mi) looks like 三 because it originates from 三, but only because the Japanese reading for 3 is mi. Katakana do not retain any of the meaning, only the shape and sound.

I'm no expert on the etymology of radicals but I do know that they are constructed from far older versions of the words than the "modern" words which we all recognise as Chinese/Kanji. So I suspect the character for water and the radical for water would have diverge before the modern character for water (水) appeared. And it's just a coincidence that the seal script for water (and subsequently the water radical) has three lines just like the character for 3, which eventually came to be used as a descriptor for the water radical.

But like who cares, you can also think of it as 氵stretched out to fit a kanji square and still live a long happy life without any problems.

It was right next to the skeleton.

Not to mention, how did nobody discover the body over the course of 10 years?!
Especially when there were line markers and lime being stored in that basement, which I'm sure the school would have used at some point within 10 years.
Definitely a few plot-holes in this case.

She is here...just lately in the police arcs the focus is more on Yumi Miyamoto and Naeko Miike.

Maybe you are asking when she will appear next?
Somewhere 901-902 but only for short.

This is only episode of detective Conan where I don't understand the solution to the puzzle behind the case.
You need to have like a masters degree in classic Japanese literature to understand it..
This case marks the debut of rumi sensei, she is certainly the best fighter in detective Conan, much better than amuro and akai.
Kyogoku has the power over her but she has killer instinct having been involved in kill or be killed combative situations.. Kyogoku only practices sports not actual military trained combat personnels like rumi sensei..
She is also voiced by same actress as Lum from urusei yatsura
