| Do you? I personally don't like animes where mc keeps acting stupid or an anime where mc is dense. It just ruins the anime at times.. But if the story is good I don't mind watching. If you do like animes like this, why? |

| I like when the main character it's so dense and dumb that he ends being hilarious instead of frustrating. That is one of the main reasons why I ended liking Kämpfer that much, since Natsuru was so stupid that I couldn't get mad at him, just laugh. I'm kinda eager to see IS to see if Ichika is as worse as Natsuru, considering how infamous the series is for the dense MC aspect. |

| There are all sorts of MCs which work. Stupid and dense MCs are particularly good for comedy. For instance, a stupid and dense MC is important in the success of Excel Saga. |

| It depends on the anime but dense MC is still much better than a self-entitled delusional jerk who thinks that someone loves him even when they don't. Stupidity gets annoying most of the time so I usually don't like a stupid MC. In my books, the most stupid MC is always the one who let's the tsundere do whatever he/she pleases with him/her and still gets along with them, that's the type that I hate the most. |

| Well theres being dense and then theres being an air head or having warped view of the world. I usually dont mind air heads like Yui from K-On, or having warped view like Inuyasha, Sadao Maou, Okabe Rintarou mostly if its having like zero intelligence or understanding and not learning anything at all like aho girl... or just being dense for the sake of being dense then I dont like such, especially where MC is aware of facts but is just stubborn for the sake of being stubborn. like that loser in fate stay night versus where they just dont know something or think differently and you watch them do something silly but still be able to understand why they did it then watching them grow and evolve after realising what they did |
| I hate MCs with zero intelligence. Eren is big problem to watch Shingeki no Kyojin for me. I hate Macross F, Infinite Stratos, and many others with this kind of MC. Be it spineless or brats. |

| Dense characters are fine, but making them stupid for no reason is what drives many up a wall. My take on it is this: if you're gonna make them dense, at least have them contribute something (whether that be emotional support, physical support, party support, etc.), and make them interesting. I will say though, that a lot of people seem to think with their dicks, and when an MC doesn't immediately jump at a chance to get laid (especially in certain settings), they're automatically written off as "bEtA cUcK lOsEr" because they didn't think with their dick. |
