DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So it seems this season will have more scheming and deception involved than the last. There are a few moles on the ship already and they might or might not have the same goal. With the reveal that the Gatlantis can reprogram/ressurect the dead, we are now essentially dealing with the equivalent of the Borg. It looks like there are at least 2 Gatlantis sleeper agents on Yamato. Dessler also got assimilated lol |

| Fireflies, Desler and a very hot Gatlantian sleeper nurse... Interesting episode. Having said, for some reason the writing seems a bit abrupt to me. We go from one set piece to another and sometimes I feel we don't get a change to breathe and make sense of it all. |

| Why do people comment on previews of next episodes? They always spoil plot points and I never watch them, yet people in this thread decided to comment about resurrecting Desler. Yay. As for the episode, where did the fireflies come from? Were they an attack or a natural phenomenon? Why wasn't Keyman affected? This "psychological" episode is far from having the same impact as the psychological episode of Yamato 2199. |

| This series is kind of destroying the original story from the 1970's. The purpose of the fire flies was actually a trap set by Dessler and these were actually bacteria flies that ate up the ships engine. Now with this episode it felt like Dessler and the fire flies were disconnected and two seperate things which makes the story of this episode seem some what irrelevent. |
