This month's challenge must be finished in two weeks, so with one movie and a 12-13 ep series to watch for that one + the long runners I'm also watching (Yuu Yuu Hakusho & Uchuu Kyoudai) + work + travel, my schedule's full.. :) So I'm saving Canaan as it's perfect to use in the next monthly challenge, and next month will probably be a busy one as well. |

| Finished Hoozuki no Reitetsu. It was funny and I liked how they mixed the comedy and mythology; I wish more shows did that. Now I wait a few more weeks for season 2 :D |

Now I wait a few more weeks for season 2 :D I didn't submit this one, just wanted to say I agree..!! :) A hidden gem. Watched it a while back and really liked it. It's so funny, and the artwork is great! Love Hoozuki. <3 Only downside for me was I had to pause a lot to Google stuff I wasn't familiar with. I'm pretty interested in Japanese mythology and folklore, but far from an expert, so there were just too many references I didn't catch. (like with ox-head and horse-face) In the end it got a bit tedious. Of course one could just ignore those references and keep watching, but I'm curious, so for me it kinda ruined the flow of the show. Maybe just me tho? btw that OP still gets stuck in my head like once a week -_- :P |

| @Demonarion: i just finished Potemayo + Specials and unlike your prediction, i didn´t hate it lol Like most comedies of the more nonsensical kind we had a mixed bag of running gags but i found the majority of them funny enough to make up for those i didn´t like, ESPECIALLY everything involving Nene, her brothers, Mudou and the fat dude always pitying him. I found those annoying to the maximum but luckily enough, all of them are just supporting characters. While Potemayo was mainly really cute and i liked her, my personal star of the show was Guchuko. I was most entertained when she was in the spotlight. Her misunderstanding things is fun, the way she warms up to Kyou over time is sweet and she simply has some kind of "character development" therefore while Pote is who she is from start to finish. I also liked Kyou and Mikan on the human side of things and i´m glad Mikan gets over her over the top daydreaming phase of Sunao. I apprehended it would remain the way it was early in the show but it didn´t and served her character well so i was entertained with the anime for ten episodes. The only thing that i REALLY hated was the ending because the anime did something i have seen in many comedies before: it tried to force some unnecessary drama right at the end for absolutely no reason. This has been a pure comedy show from Ep 1 all the way through to the end and all of a sudden in the last two episodes, the producers felt the need to show us It didn´t destroy much for me though. It is an anime to switch your brain off, relax and have a smile on your face and that´s what it achieves like most good 4-koma adaptations do. |

| Finally done with Canaan! :) what a mess lol.. I'm sure it's an exciting show for people who like boobs and guns, but for me, who's not really impressed by either, it was pretty pointless and boring. And confusing, unfortunately. Whatever it was trying to be or do, it just didn't manage to execute it. Instead it was messy, incoherent and full of clichés. Nothing made much sense, neither the plot or anything the characters did - why they liked each other, why they tried to kill each other, not much of anything was properly explained, and when it was, it was questionable at best. Still, it did have it's good and funny moments, with a few (kind of) likable characters. Not enough to save it from my rating of 4/10, though. :/ Sorry, @PhKay! At least I gave it a proper shot and watched it all the way through :) |

| I finished Genshiken the other day, and it surprised me because it was pretty decent. It's like one of many otaku themed anime, but older and less cliche'd. It definitely won't be in my favourite list, but it was worth watching. |

| Just managed to finish JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV). Messed up watching the OVAs first, since went with release order.... But liked at least the first OP of the series. Didn't enjoy the dynamics they had for describing every single thing that happened. Overall it was enjoyable to kill some time, but not as much when I had to watch several episodes at once. It did have good fights and the story was okay. Can't say I'm looking forward to the sequels, but will get there when I have an excuse for them. |
