What are the anime fair use rules on YouTube

I'm thinking of starting a YouTube channel centered around anime. Does anyone know how the fair use rules work as far as anime is concerned? I understand how fair use laws work in America (my school has a required journalism class and we did an entire unit on fair use laws) but since anime is made in Japan, which has different fair use laws, this makes things a little bit more complicated. So if someone could please explain how fair use laws work for anime, that would be great. Also, it would help if someone could recommend a source for the video. I'm planning to just use a screen recorder to just pull it off of Kissanime, but if anyone knows a more legal way (that doesn't cost money) it would be a great help, thanks!

Also, if anyone is planning to trash this post, please don't. I understand that I probably won't get far with the channel. I don't care. I'm not planning to monetize my videos, and I don't expect many followers. I'm mostly doing this for myself.

Fair use means you're using it in a different way than the original was used for. Whether if you're making a fandub, a review, a Youtube poop, an AMV, or anything else then it qualifies as fair use. On Youtube, however, the rules are different and fair use is these rules for companies that welcome the free publicity and may even want to pocket some of the revenue the video makes while others will take down videos that fit well within fair use. Just upload what you want and form negative opinions on the companies that take down your videos that are perfectly legal.

how fair use works:
if get anime creators cared enough to get their anime auto-detected by yotuube, you will get a copyright strike
if they didn't it's fair use

you could make another account to test the waters first

Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't you get a content id claim if you use copyrighted footage for more than 10 seconds? Just something to keep in mind, in case you're going to use scenes from different shows.

You're likely going to have to fight a lot of bullshit claims. Even if you're analyzing works and using the footage in a way that totally fits under fair use, Japanese companies happily throw around strikes and sometimes fight to keep those strikes.

You probably won't have to fight anything
If they see their stuff, they are just going to monetize the video for you and collect it
You can still have the video, but you can't profit from them, only Youtube or the company (Funimation, etc) can
like this

If it's something you really wanna do, they won't stop you

Fair use is not formally legalized in Japan. Although introduced, almost all copyright unions oppose it for fear of being abused. Depending on works used, getting a copyright claim is possible and it's hard to predict unless you are familiar with the production groups behind each work. Anime consisting of song audio tracks may also be a target for copyright claim.

To be honest, after seeing anime youtubers and stuff, it really is difficult to tell. I have seen youtubers get their video removed just because they used an image of the anime on the thumbnail, and then in the video, there is no image or clip, just their own face talking about the anime.
