| Vegans and vegetarians are chill, there's no point hating them for abstaining from meat lol. They do get on my nerves when they try to push their beliefs. I'm gonna eat chicken even if seeing them getting slaughtered disgusts me, so no point convincing. |

| stupid like creature that can be eaten were made for being eaten if that type of animal is danger i can understand that people don't kill it and it is even the best thing to do in that case but chicken or fish or sheep should be eaten because they were made for that and of course for their milk egg.... but if it because of a health problem so ok |

| Generally, I respect vegans and vegetarians, as long as they don't gang up on my food choices. I can't stand the extremists who say that meat eaters should all die. |

| Vegies are cool I have no problem with those guys. Vegan are idiots those think eating living things that cannot run away from you is better than eating things that can. Even thought there's plenty of science-y stuff to back up plant communication and the fact that they do move on a very small level. Vegans are just losers that cant handle that their food can talk. They're just a bunch of hypocrites when you think of it in the end, animals and plants are both alive so I'm not going to rudely, ignorantly and pathetically label myself "nature's hero" selectively pick which organic foods I want to eat. If you want to be "nature's hero" than don't eat anything organic at all, that's being "life friendly" and not being a hypocrite while you're at it. Vegans are the type of people to stand against female rape but not male. Vegans don't promote equality of life. They selectively stand for the ones with a voice. Hypocrites, the lot of them! |

(Gotta mention that my best friend in one of these music schools was a vegan, but I never heard him bully anyone with that shit) I have never attacked anyone for eating meat... I live in the woods, I have eaten game (and so much fucking local potatoes) my whole life up until this point so I do understand what It's like to be attacked by Vegan zealots (It did happen a few times in my past yeah)... but I of course I am not going to pretend I don't think I am doing a good thing (I am sure you can do that without thinking you are better than everyone)... And all I am saying is from what I have learned myself there really is benefits from doing this. Is it something that solely is going to change the world?.. maybe not, but it is easy to see how it easily should take less resources than to grow a whole animal (unless you eat beans and shit that has been shipped around the whole world maybe). Did you actually get pissed from what I was saying? Do you really think it's bullying with me refeering to a piece of media that I think makes a sound (but maybe not perfect put) argument? Is it the fact I say that I eat like this for moral reasons that does it? This is the reason I don't really call myself Vegan, It's like some people automatically see you as an elitist a-hole when you explain (because usually they always ask) why you do it. I don't look down on them, but It's like they always assume I do just because I say that I think I am doing the right thing. Health reasons are an okay reason, but moral ones are not. I am actually one of those that are just happy if anyone are willing to try to eat a vegetarian meal ones in a while and see if they like it... I am not demanding anyone to quit, just try, and maybe you will feel great... But most just seem to get hurt or feel bullied and I can't seem to find any other reasons for this than guilt because I am really not attacking them in any way.... they are in general the ones asking. I think many people can go overboard with Veganism, they do... but challenge yourself (not talking with you specifically now), try to understand why these, what many people call, Insane (me included) people does this. Don't listen to us, look shit up, and while you do... understand that more than one industry finances research. |

| @Roam I pretty much agreed with all your post until you tried to guilt-trip me into veganism with that last sentence. It's a really common tactic amongst vegans and PETA nuts and I develloped a seriour allergy to that shit. Veganism as moral code or whatever isn't worth shit, at least until a vegan tells me that the disparition of domesticated species is better from a moral PoV than the organized murder of them. Or why exactly I should care less about vegetal life than animal one. no matter how hard they try to twist it into some kind of moral crusade, it just doesn't make any fucking sense. Go vegan for practical reasons, or don't. |

Or why exactly I should care less about vegetal life than animal one. no matter how hard they try to twist it into some kind of moral crusade, it just doesn't make any fucking sense. Go vegan for practical reasons, or don't. I never in any shape or form tried to guilt-trip you or anyone... I just repeated (using new word) what I said a few sentences before (the part about guilt). This is something you did to yourself, constructed in your own head. YOU interpreted it that way, but to clarify, it was never my intention (maybe I worded it badly and if so you are welcome to explain how). I said what I believe and you can tell me how you think I am wrong all you like but It was never meant as tool to manipulate anyone. What I said/meant with the last sentence was "Hey! check this out, you have nothing to loose... btw, if this doesn't lead anywhere for you, It's okay since this is how the brain works and the reason how we can survive really traumatic shit". Again, you might not agree with that/like what I am saying or whatever, but don't ascribe non-existent intentions from you own personal interpretation. This was not a tactic, I said "watch this" and "if you still eat meat after that, you are not a horrible person, this is very common". I can even say that I might be wrong on some remarks (though I have not seen anything I feel contradicts what I have learned, I am still here after all) but the way you talk now is just arrogant. Saying it doesnt make any sense from a moral standoint really is ignorant... I don't know what you base your worldview on... but if you really can't differentiate between plants and animals and why the former one is more okay to eat it can't be on science. Pain has a function, it's meant as a way for us to know we should get the fuck away from something less we die... and plants can't move the fuck away (or have something where it can process something that complicated) so that function would be useless.... If scientist one day find proof that plants experience pain just like animals or more so, then I will eat my words.... So ONLY for practical reason? not moral? wow.... that is an arrogant statement. I would love to hear how it doesnt make any sense... I mean objectively... I would love hearing you prove it objectively... you sound so confident. |

| I think a majority of the ones that push their agenda are just stuck up white people that shit on other cultures for eating meat, as if that suddenly makes us barbarians. When I was in Korea with my friend, she kept saying how the next generation would have health problems because of the BBQ consumption. Personally, no doctor has recommended veganism to me. So I have no sense of urgency to forego meat and dairy. |

Turnip said: Not really, you guys get a mad iron deficiency and we've been eating meat for all our lives and for so many generations we've lost count. Iron deficiency has never been an issue for me. Legumes, whole grains, dried fruits, tomato sauce, nuts, seeds, and dark leafy greens are good sources of iron. Our ancestors had shorter life spans. They really aren’t the best role models. Besides, “it’s been done for generations so it should continue to happen” isn’t a valid reason to overlook the consequences of the meat industry. I'm an omnivore, I'm not an idiot or a vegetarian I'm smart enough to know what our species is suppose to eat. Vegans have lower rates of heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cancer. Consequently, they have higher life expectancies. Maybe looking to what you deem “natural” isn’t the answer, especially when it’s detrimental to the environment. I eat bacteria as well, yogurt is one of my favourite meals. Don't think I selectively skip out bacteria. I was making fun of how people go “plants tho”, but never “bacteria tho”. Your response doesn’t make sense either way. Wait, now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure there was this one guy who likened washing hands to slaughtering animals. Also how do you know plants have no feelings but animals do? Did you ask them? nah, didn't think so. You just eat animals because you know they won't feel pain instead of plants which you hope doesn't feel pain. Pretty shotty morals in my books, why not stop eating animals and plants? Oh wait, you're just going to eat plants instead and complain about people eating their natural diet. Okay vegan, I can see you do a lot to minimize suffering lmao. It seems like what I said earlier flew right over your head. Veganism isn’t about trying to be a saint. If humans needed to eat meat to survive, I wouldn’t disagree with killing animals for food. There is no concrete evidence that supports that plants have feelings. On this subject, I’ve only found sensationalist articles with misleading titles. Even if plants were shown to have feelings, I’ve already explained how a vegan diet needs less plants than the average diet that includes meat. I don't pay others to helpless kill animals for me, lol that's just stupid I don't own any hunting coop or anything like that dude. I just go down to the shops and occassionally buy pre-killed animal meat which is like pre-killed plant. I don't pay anybody before hand to grab a helpless animal and slaughter it for me. That part is already done by someone else who's going to keep doing that because we're omnivores and not vegetarians which some people think they're born to eat. This shows the extent to which consumers are disconnected from their food. Every time you visit your local grocery store and purchase conveniently packaged meat, you’re increasing the demand for meat, which means more animals will be bred and killed for you. And it's even more efficient when you use them to graze already havasted crops two birds with one stone. Or you just stick all the animals on a block of land with some grass for them to eat and let nature do it's work. No. If you consider global meat consumption, that method of meat production is unfortunately less sustainable than factory farming. Just look at what cattle ranching has done to the Amazon. |

I don't need to worry about drinking tomato sauce out the bottle, I just make sure I have some steak every week. Our ancestors also would think storing meat in salt instead of a freezer was a good idea, so I can't imagine food back then was that "healthy". Vegans have lower rates of heart disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cancer. Consequently, they have higher life expectancies. Maybe looking to what you deem “natural” isn’t the answer, especially when it’s detrimental to the environment. Vegans also diet which most of the world does not. So I don't think your comparison is very useful and is actually out of proportion. Dieting is generally healthy, do you think someone who diets is going to be more healthy than someone who doesn't care what he eats? Yes. I think so, so I think a vegan (who diets) would have a healthier diet than someone who doesn't diet, moot point in the long run. People who eat meat can diet, they normally eat leaner and cleaner meats n fish. I was making fun of how people go “plants tho”, but never “bacteria tho”. Your response doesn’t make sense either way. Wait, now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure there was this one guy who likened washing hands to slaughtering animals. Veganism isn’t about trying to be a saint. If humans needed to eat meat to survive, I wouldn’t disagree with killing animals for food. How can you say you're doing it for the animals because they have feeling, you don't like cruelty and the environmental impact is bigger? And yet you say you're not trying to be natures saint. Your previous words make me think you care about the environment and the animals more than you let on. I'm still going to think you're trying to be natures hero, sorry you won't be able to change my mind. If animals have feelings, I don't doubt plants have some sort of feeling as well. There's no evidence to deny plants have feelings, I've seen more evidence to support plants rather than to disagree. Vegans still eat organic life, they're still brutally eating plants but the worse thing is, the plants can even be alive when you fuckers eat them. I've seen you vegans rip an innocent fruit off a tree and devour it right in-front of the mother. But you guys perceive it as healthy so you don't care you're eating their friends and family in front of it. I don't believe in such low and unfair morals. This shows the extent to which consumers are disconnected from their food. Every time you visit your local grocery store and purchase conveniently packaged meat, you’re increasing the demand for meat, which means more animals will be bred and killed for you. No it won't dude. If I don't eat meat for a year and I go to the store, I'll beat you all the money in my bank, there's still going to be a meat section. You don't get it. You guys are so insignificant you'll never stop the meat industry, no matter how many people you try to convince. Vegan morals are pathetically one-sided to only animals. Most of you guys don't plant a tree or something after you eat one. No. If you consider global meat consumption, that method of meat production is unfortunately less sustainable than factory farming. Just look at what cattle ranching has done to the Amazon. The amazon is a mutli-billion dollar industry I highly doubt they'd even be selling meat on the website matter of fact I don't think they have ever sold meat on that website. You might be able to get cow related things posted to you if you want, but truth be told, Amazon is a perfectly fine shop site and hasn't been affect by the meat industry in anyway, mainly because there's such high laws and standards against shipping meat overseas. |

Thanks for the laugh. Your last paragraph was especially hilarious. |

Effulgence said: I'm vegan but i almost never say it because for some reason when you say that people become really defensive and offended for no reason. Yeah, That's the thing... Effulgence said: At first it was kinda hard because i was like " what am i suposed to eat?" but after a while you find out you can eat alot of things, and you can find al the nutritions you need in different fruits and vegetables. In the end it might be a bit inconvenient sometimes, and more or less so depending where you live (eating at restaurants/friends etc). But other than the socially tied areas, it's neither more expensive (unless one wants) or hard once you learned yeah! |
