Just kinda browsing through anime stuff on Onihei

and I noticed the studio that was doing them called M2 https://myanimelist.net/anime/producer/1529/M2

More interestingly the anime was produced by Masao Maruyama. He left Madhouse to make MAPPA, but now hes producing anime at a completely different/new studio. Iirc he was thinking of making a new studio to make a Pluto adaptation. Just curious if anyone had any information on Studio M2 and Maruyama's involvement.

wait, isn't it like this? (it's sayed in sarcastic ways in studio financial data discussion, so i don't know how many truth hold, i don't even think i remembe rit correctly) :
> madhouse fail at management and almost go bankrupt
> he left madhouse and funded mappa
> madhouse financially getting better after he left
> mappa fail at management
> he left mappa and funded m2
> mappa get YOI money

A bit old but... http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3050725

@Kuma
Technically he still hasn't left MAPPA, at least according with that link.

@romagia
All his studio's names start with M
His name and surname start with M

Wow this is actually really interesting information. I'm sad to hear about his deteriorating health, but the prospect of Dream Machine finally being completed is something that really excites me. I hope a Pluto adaptation is in the works as well.

I'm glad my somewhat random inquiry led to some actual solid(ish) info, Best of luck to Maruyama completing his projects, especially with Dream Machine.
