I'm kind of just curious if anyone here enjoys Greek, Norse or any other Mythologies and gods?

For me just to start anyways my favourite Greek ones would probably be Poseidon, Athena and Artemis

for Norse gods would be Tyr and Balder

Do any of you have any favourites?

From any Mythology if so I'd like to know please give the name and what Mythos they are from.

All the Anime's on my list are all one's I own Personal physical copies of, or have seen in theaters that I plan on buying, series that I've watched on FUNimation or HIDIVE will not be on here unless/until I have already bought it.

I got interested in Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythologies because of a writer called Rick Riordan. The one who penned 3 series involving each of those(Percy JAckson, Heroes of Olympus and Kane Chronicles). He also is now in the middle of a Norse Mythology inspired series.

I'm really very interested in the minute difference between Greek and Roman myths...

I actually own Percy Jackson book series and also another series he made called Magnus Chase and the Gods Of Asgard.

I've been a big fan of Mythology since I was about 7 maybe 8 (more than 10 years) but I do really enjoy those books and thanks for letting me know about the other too :)

and I got to check out Egyptian ones too I do enjoy the history thanks for letting me know ^^

and glad to see your a fan of so many mythologies :)

the horned one - pagan personification of life force. very intruigings!

yatagarasu - three-leg crow asian sun god. very strange they choose dark coloraton bird for sun deity

but by far abrahamic mythologies are the most interesting

u get incomprehensible flaming wheel angels covered w/ eyes. ophanim
tetramorphic flying hayyots
6-winged burning guardians of god's throne. seraphim
2.1 million miles tall angel. hadraniel
and then there's the 200 angels(grigori) who fugged human women(and subsequently birth the anakim) and gifted humanity w/ forbideen knowlege
not to mention the tower of babel, garden of eden, & all the demons.(both old jewsih demons, and the newer ones found in the ars goetia, and later vampires)

I like greek mythology and statues, so I have a few miniature statuettes of Artemis, Aphrodite, Tycke, etc, scattered around the house that I've bought in Greece. I'm not super into it, though, but I think Greek mythology is pretty fascinating along with their gods/deities - especially the ones that I mentioned.

As a norseman I'm also naturally well-versed in Norse mythology, although I never had much particular interest in it.

Christian mythology is by far the most enigmatic, mysterious, and therefore fascinating one to me, though.

Most favorite out of Greek mythology would be Nyx, the goddess of night. She was so powerful that even Zeus feared her. Can you get even more badass than that?

"Out of the night that conquers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul."

I've always been an Athena fan. The goddess of War, Wisdom, and many other things. I also love the name as well as the characters who are based on her:

I read a lot of history books on myths legends and historical events surrounding stuff like this. Ragnarök is a good one to look at, or read the Poetic Edda which are the original stories of Norse mythology like the beginning and end of the world.
Yggdrasil is also something I find interesting in Norse mythology and cosmology talking about how the gods created the 9 worlds.

I always thought Norse Mythology was pretty badass, kind of sad that you don't really see it represented much in anime.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

Athena and Hades are my favorites. I like Selene too, for the myth where she is related to the first vampire.

Not specifically gods and godesses, but I do enjoy learning about tales from Korea, Japan, China, the Norse mythos, and Moana, got me somewhat interested in the Polynesian mythos. Also, I like Native American legends/myths and Australian aboriginal myths/legends.

But I had to pick, I do like Loki from Norse mythology, also Fenrir (cause he's a gaint wolf), Oden (cause he owns two wolves) , Skoll and Hati(Fenrir's sons), and Maui from Polynesian mythology seems interesting from what I've seen in Moana.

I thought Níðhöggr from Norse Mythology was pretty cool. Badass dragon who lives at the bottom of Yggdrasil? Check. Survives Ragnarökkr? Check. Has a name that translates as "Bringer of Malice?" Check. Brings about the apocalypse? Also check.

Contrary to popular Belief, I'm actually not that much into Nordic/Germanic Mythology or any other Ancient Civilization.

I like German Folk Tales and Fairy Tales the best, particularly the one about the Lorelei:

While there's a number of them, I'd have to go from one from my home in the Hawaiian Islands, non other than the fire/volcano/lightning/wind goddess herself, Pele. Mostly because the stories of her were among the 1st of stories of ancient mythology I've read.
