| The main reason why I watched DGM was because of the seiyuus. They fit their roles so much. I can't imagine Takahiro Sakurai as not Kanda, Suzumura Kenichi as not Lavi, and Shizuka Itou as not Lenalee. I was dreaming about this and worrying all yesterday they didn't reprise their role, and now I am so sad to see it become true. So disappointed, the new DGM isn't going to be the same anymore. |
| Changed everything... I guess cast change depends on us having memory loss. A show of at least 6 to10 years. Why care for Kobayashi, Itoh, or Suzumura when you can have Hanae and Tachibana? When its Hanae involved, one of the cutest sounding VAs and demanding for today's show, you can't complain right? And Lavi gets into some crap after the timeskip.. I get the Sato Takuya pick for Kanda (mature sound), but I don't know about the quality just yet. Still think about it. It's strange considering how freakin' active Sakurai is now. WTF at the Noah Family, especially Tykki. |

Alma is there. It still retains that dark, ugly theme even after the HQ invasion. It gets worse of course. unless they plan to modify the "new exorcist" story in some kind of way. |

| I'm just going to wait to actually see the first episode before hating/loving the cast. I'm just happy they picked it back up after years and it seemed dead. Absolutely nothing could damper my excitment for this. |

| All the old cast being changed disappoints me so much I don't mind the new voice actors for Kanda and Lenalee, but Natsuki Hanae for Lavi? that sounds so unbelievably wrong, and why are the Naohs being played by a bunch of nobodies? |

Yeah, he will be very active and busy this year it seems, because he has been casted in some big series like Jojo, Final Fantasy VII and Berserk. (i'd consider Mob Psycho 100 as another important series coz it'll be another One Punch Man i think) But ofc it would be better if he has been casted as Kanda tbh, i can't even think another voice who fits Kanda. He was perfect for him. Anyway let's see how good or bad that Satou Takuya's performance will be?? I'll try to "don't judge a book by its cover" from now... |

| As much as I'm upset that Suzuken is not going to voice lavi anymore, we do need to remember that so I'm not seeing it that badly... Saying that though I have no clue who the guy voicing for Kanda is but i really hope he gets this right |

| 8 years is not an excuse to change anything. But like I said, some just won't care when VA popularity shifts elsewhere, or there's the intention of getting other seiyuu some face. About the vid: Thought so. Kanda sounds a bit meaner (o.o) Is that even possible?! Yeah you're not getting friends now, Yuu. But it's cool though. Hanae is very immature. |

Allen's new voice is actually not bad :D and considering they do age in the manga a slightly manlier voice does suit Allen quite well! Quite chuffed with this! Kanda sounds good too...but on contrary, I'm not liking Lavi's that much... Overall, I'm pretty happy with what I'm hearing so far! :D |

C'mon... most of seiyuu from original series are still active... ;( Really, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood made it good! <3 I will literally cry if members of old cast return, but as some episodic character... -.- |
They changed Mustang's voice though. I remember being dissapointed about it, but in the end I got used to it so I guess I'll get used to new seiyuus in DGM as well. |

| Replacing SuzuKen might really affect my attachment to the serious. Honestly, Lavi's character was so alive and real because of his performance and to replace him is definitely heartbreaking for me. But I guess we just have to face the fact that sometimes change is inevitable especially for this series that had been left aside for so long. I think the new VAs are okay...we just have to wait and see. *sigh* It won't be the same but there's no proof that it will not be good just because of new VAs. =) |

| .. I just head Allen new voice.. he sounds like some sort of fagget now :/ I really old gray-man (going to re-watch it again for 4th time?). And Allen old voice is really unique and nice to the ears. Plus I really love that "dark" style of grayman... Okay I will live with new VA's somehow. (Lavi and Kanda sounded okay/fitting) but Allen T_T ... I'm cryingg. But anyhow... I really hope that new series wont lose that "dark" touch to it. |

There are things I like about the new anime (most character designs, for one, some voices seem more fitting, like Krory's, obviously the animation is much much better, etc) just as there are things I didn't like about the old anime. Characters' voices make up a big part of the impression and enjoyment, and I find some of the currents ones lacking impact in comparison to what they used to be: Allen's for one, probably because Allen's former voice was unique, while his current one is a lot more generic; Lavi's current voice is too high-pitched to my ears (and judging by the comments above, I'm not the only one who doesn't find his new voice quite fitting).There is nothing wrong with anything about the new anime its just not the same so you don't like it. The same with HxH reboot: I find the hollow flat voice without much modulation from the old anime suiting Kuroro's impassive character better, for example; this is my reason for not being too fond of his new voice (despite my general love for Miyano Mamoru), which is not the same as rejecting all new as you seem to imply. Besides, the need to change all the seyuu, when, as it was already pointed out above, most of the old ones are active and this being a sequel and not a reboot, wasn't really explained and I don't really uderstand it. |
