When did you find out truth about good old Santa and how?

I myself dont remember how it happened i guess i just used a bit of logic behind hiding presents under the christmas tree deal it always seemed odd to me .

Maybe i should have waited a bit longer to post this but i would forgot probably xd.

I was never raised to believe in him. Which led me to leave him milk and cookies every Christmas in my late teens. I went a lil crazy. I would force my mother to consume the cookies and milk so they are gone when I wake up.

Buuuh! You're a liar, Santa Claus exists! :'(

However, apart jokes I was 3 years old and my father showed up dressed as Santa Claus. I took off the fake beard and I discovered the trick.

When my sisters were born and able to understand, so around the age of 13 for me. Nobody told me he wasn't real but my parents obviously solely realized that I stopped believing and we now play that trick on my sisters. One of them is doubtful though because she's 10! isn't that too early?!

Depends from case to case really, and curiousity :)

Found out when St. Nicholas (He's more represented than Santa around here) appeared at my school wearing Nikes. :c

As far as I remember I never trusted that much in Santa, because Nicholas always gave way more gifts and stuff.

When I was about 8 or 9 one of my gifts "from Santa" was wrapped with wrapping paper from my desk.

It would be funny if finding out that God isn't real became a coming-of-age thing in the same way as there is with Santa.

To be honest that's already late.
You think so? Me and my youngest sister (9 years old) keep arguing with her that he is real. I think her friends in school are making her doubt his reality. I mean, I know he isn't real, but childhood is important :p

I stopped believing when I was 9 because the idea of Santa existing started to feel impossible to me, but I pretended to believe for one more year for extra gifts.

I have gotten gifts "from Santa" up until I was 17. I'm not sure if I'll get any this year now that I'm 18. Santa has become a joke in our family and my brother has even given presents to my parents labeled "from Santa".

I found out when I was in kindergarten. I went down to my basement to look for something and my mom left out my dad's Santa suit to dry on the pool table. (He use to dress up as Santa and give out presents at church each year). I remember asking my mom about it and she pretty much told me in an extremely nice way that if I told my younger sister I would forfeit my life.

I think I became a bit skeptical when I was 4, and Santa sounded suspiciously similar to my uncle. And I couldn't really ignore that unsettling and uncanny plastic-like face either.

Just from talking to people in school and it making less and less sense over time I figured it out for myself. Which is fine. I wasn't at all disappointed; I think my parents were more than I was.

I don't even remember any time in my childhood where I believed in Santa, it had to be when I was 4 or so. I pretty much always thought he was just a symbol. I remember when I was little my parents made me to the mall or some other place to "sit on Santa's lap" I was terrified almost every time, almost to the point of crying.
