| So the person does something that's a very sensitive topic for Christians, does it in a very religious country, which is also not the best country for public safety. It's also questionable if the person did this act just to reach out to the religious people, or to make fun of them (because passion plays are very popular in Brazil). A person can't be this delusional and optimistic, to think that a very religious country would tolerate or even like what he/she was doing, so the person most likely did this just to add fuel to the fire. I'm pretty sure you'd find that the number of LGTBBQ people being killed isn't too different from the rest of the population. When you factor in that Brazil has an insanely large LBGITF population and that more young people tend to be LGIDKFA, it's probably the case that their rate of deaths from murder is surprisingly small. Go look up the murder rate in Brazil over that same time period that your data is from. With an estimated 50000 murders in that country last year it seems like there's plenty of hate crime going around for everyone. |

| When it comes to homicide rates for this sort of thing you should be looking at percentage of victims per capita for anti LGBT hate crimes vs non LGBT crimes not the overall numbers. Also of course the overall rate includes the lgbt rate as well so of course it would be bigger. |
