It was released today afaik, so i hope this is not old. Featuring SABER, Shirou, Rin and Titan Gil. AND SABER. Seriously though, Shirou and Rin look awesome, but having Saber be in the foreground with her and her sword extend to fill the full height of the art, making her bigger than any other character on it, is really irritating. The art is nice and the coloring is great, but the sizes of the characters relative to their importance is completely out of whack, I mean Archer is smaller than Illya for God's sake :/ |

| IDk, no matter how simplistic the early designs are they still have more charm and personality and are not as homogenized as current takeuchi designs(everyone is either seiba or achaa). Current Arc and Ciel are fucking eye cancer. UBW anime had one improved design - Shirou(too bad everything else about him was a major downgrade), everything else is quite meh. Zero and KNK managed to do "type moon" style far better while in ufoubw everyone looks like furries half the time. Way too much focus on them "looking moe" than to them looking like themselves. If we go into wishes, then Mahoyo's artist should do all the characters ever. At least we would not have constant seiba clones and ahoge hell. |

I feel the exact opposite, the glasses were my least favorite part of her design actually. Her normal design isn't as good as the other heroines, i agree, but i always felt that this choice was deliberate. Ciel was supposed to feel like a sore thumb with her weird talking and actions. Her normal design made her look like a geeky normal upperclassman who, supposedly, fits with her surroundings, but she still feels out of place that her magic is barely keeping her acquaintances feel familiar towards her. Her executor design is her normal design without the glasses and the school uniform, it's just that her expressions that makes that world of difference. The new Ciel seems, from her looks, like she'd fit perfectly in her environment. She wears cool glasses and have a perfectly normal hair style that any high school girl could wear. THIS doesn't look like a perfectly normal hair style that any high school girl could wear: And, well, i guess i should be more thankful that Takeuchi didn't give her an ahoge as well, but it looks like he couldn't control himself any longer and removed Ciel's only to give Arcuied two instead. |

Her hair, name and behavior seemed very out of place compared to the other characters (Yumizuka, Arihiko and Shiki). As for Arcueid, make that "one more ahoge". In the new design she has three. |

Her and Arceuid are the ONLY characters who have weird names and hair styles. Every other character, including the rest of the heroines, look normal and have ordinary names. I actually only knew about Arc as a heroine when I first read the VN. I knew that some of the characters I've met must have their own routes, but didn't know which. Yumizuka not having one, in particular, surprised me the most with how many routes the game has and how much focus the story was giving her. stuff said: [Wasn't this her newest design from the newest TM ace? She only has two ahoges just like the old one. EVERY sprite Arc had in the game didn't have any ahoges, only the cover had them at the time. As time went on Arcueid had her ahoges appear in SOME of her sprites. She's missing them in the first Melty Blood, for example:  In the first illustration of the remake she had three ahoges, which got reduced back to two in the latest revealed sprites. |
