| OK LETS ROLL THESE OFF: 1) Got to see dead parents all bloodied up and not once thought of checking to see if they were alive. 2) His brothers emo (check out his nail polish its emo) 3) He's happy to "give" his body to orichimaru (pretty much the same as slitting wrists) 4) Instead of just wearing black he turns black (or grey whatever) AND 5) Hes an asshole.. comon you all know hes one dont deny it. |

| Depending on your own definition of and depending on what type of emo, than he may be. If you mean emotional. Then, hell yes. If you mean he looks emo. Then, perhaps. His expression is pretty emo-ish I would say. If you mean full out slitwristing imagonnakillamyself emo, then maybe not. | Normally, I don't like calling characters "emo". However, Sasuke is emo. The constant whining in his fight with Naruto in the "Retrieve Sasuke" arc is major evidence of this ("My life sucks more than yours, Naruto!".....which I find to be bulls*it). There is only one color more emo than black....white. Guess what he wears in Shippuuden? Yep. His constant sulking, sitting in shadows, etc. just all adds up to him being the definition of emo. Not to mention he's a selfish prick to boot. |

| To be emo you have to have really bad taste in clothes that a tramp off the street wouldnt dare be seen in daylight with, a stupid hairstyle that takes too long to get ready and when it is it's laughable; you have to hang out outside churches in groups even if you're an athiest, love Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas even if you've never seen it or dont really like it, you also have to hate your parents for no justifiable reason, have suspect music taste that never broaches beyond offshoots of the 'emo' genre, you have to be an extrovert even though the emo stereotype is to be an awkward outcast of society but the truth is emo people love attention so keep making a fool of yourself in public by harassing old people or chavs, and you have to regularly pretend you're gay or if you're actually gay keep pushing it in people's faces as if to validate your emo-ness, and lastly you have to be between the ages of 12 and 20 ideally from a middle-class family that lives in relative comfort. Sasuke is not emo. |

Moody angry bastard yes, but not emo. An emo, a real honest to goodness emo, is actually laughing like a dickhead all the time. Go outside, find the nearest emo hangout and you'll see. |

| I'd say more angst than anything. I don't recall anything he ever did as emo. But really; think about this. If you were 8 years old, had a father with overly-high standards, and had a genius brother who you were trying to exceed, then you might become very frustrated right? Then take into account that a few days later everyone you knew and loved were killed right before your eyes. Your very brother slaughtered your parents and then nearly kills you, only to stop and say that you need to avenge your fallen clan. Plus once you finally reach a point where you could do real ninja missions, a 50 year old, crazy-snake psychopath gives you power (which is what you want) but it could have had the chance to kill you, therefore keeping you away from your goal. But once your life's all fine and dandy again a month later, your village gets trampled by giant snakes and almost kills more people you knew. Then you realize that your best friend is acutally better than you. Fast-forward another month or two and you would realize that you have wasted years on nothing when your brother comes back and beats the living s*** out of you. And that's only the beginning. :D Really, he could have turned out much worse. |
