| Because most english voice actors live in English speaking parts of the world, and are thus hard for the Japanese to find and contact. PLus, a few shows do actually get English speaking VAs. Eden of The East did it. |

| I remember reading an article about how fucking expensive the recognizable voice actors are, for us it doesn't mean much but in Japan who voices a character can pretty much determine who will watch the anime at least in the adult demographic. A lot of people there are more fans of the voice actors than the actual anime so they NEED those big name voice actors and then use the rest of the money to pay everyone else. |
