Where did you hear that Rage of bahamut: genesis has a high budget? So far it isn't that well known around these parts and while the animation is great, it isn't the best this season.

I didn't hear it has a high budget from anywhere i just think it's logical that it has considering what i saw until now. I really haven't seen a show this season with much better quality in artwork and animation to be honest. Who is it that is so better according to you?

The game is very popular as far as I know and has been for a while so it wouldn't surprise me if the show had an above average budget.
I probably regret this post by now.

If Steamboy looks anything like what Studio 4C did to the Berserk movies, I feel sorry for whoever decided to flush that money down the toilet.

I guess so. All I know is that Kaguyahime had a budget of 5 billion Yen and that's about 50 million usd so the 4 billion Yen production costs you quoted would be about 40 million usd, but the thread you linked says 10 billion Yen/100 million usd. I don't know which of those is true.
I probably regret this post by now.

for TV series i think Fate Stay Night Unlimited Bladeworks TV is highly budgeted, according to this article - http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/feature/2012-03-05 an anime episode cost around 100,000 to 300,000 dollars so i guess ufotable work around 300,000+ per episode

ANN edited the estimated cost to around 4 billion yen now so that 10 billion yen estimate was long gone

so far Kaguyahime as you mentioned is the winner for the highest anime budget

Well, Square did apparently go bankrupt because it tanked so hard and was forced to merge with Enix as a result. Indeed not a history of success.
I probably regret this post by now.

Out of sheer curiosity I was wondering if anyone knows the anime/s with the most expensive production cost per episode. Was thinking it might be Attack on Titan or the Ufotable Fate series

Attack on titan had a very low budget even though the animations looks so good.

Not sure how you can say Attack on Titan has a "very low" budget, because if you look at this the amount of companies and people involved in making Attack on Titan is nothing short of insane. Compared to Fate/Zero.

Such a huge budget that they didn't even have enough animators when the show was airing.

That's the thing, it has such a huge budget that they needed more animators when the show was airing to meet its demands.
