| To be honest I really didn't like the "reappearence of Fuko", it seemed kinda tacky, don't get me wrong it was adorable but still I think it was a bit tacky. Overall AWESOME episode, now we finally know what happened to Kotomi, though the whole "we knew each other as kids thing" is starting to a get a little old isn't it? Seeing Kotomi's reaction to the car crash was amazing, her face was contorted with so much emotion! I've never seen such a REAL reaction in anime, ever. Funniest part of the episode: "Yourcheast-san?" Saddest part of the episode: Probably the meeting with the old man, at this point you know what's coming and there's no way to prevent it. overall, amazing episode, can't wait to see the conclusion of the Kotomi arch! |

Loved kotomi's reaction to the accident and from after this episode I think we can imply what happened to her parents and why she reacted the way she did. Also the "we met as kids" thing is getting old (remembers kanon) but I still like it. Lots hapened in this episode. |

| Fuko's appearance was so random!!!!! like really really unexpected and wtf?! But funny nontheless. Nice to know that Fuko wasent totally cut out of the anime like... Cause shes just too cute <3 Kotomi is also cute! (all the girls are cute except Kyou, shes too loud...) Her mental break down was so well done! i was all O__O you could feel the pain! | "Why did I say 'starfish'?" XD The whole Fuko scene is almost another fourth-wall break -- an indirect one by the writers to laugh at the viewers. I like how calm she was about it, though. "I know you don't remember me, but that's okay! I just want to appear and do this one scene. And then waddle off with my starfish plush." Perhaps it -was- overdone, but Fuko's arc had some off-the-wall moments, like all those "Mastered ____!" notices. I hated those. So Kotomi's arc gets a few of her own. ^^; And oooh, drama at the end of the episode -- just what I was looking for. So sad we have to wait three weeks for it. I'm glad the old man's story was fleshed out a little bit, so we don't go on viewing him as some trenchcoated rapist or something. I almost thought it was Kyou doing that breast-hug to Tomoya. That would have been great for them two. And Ryou and Nagisa are just so MOE together. They mirror each other's cuteness. |

| Akara, You stole my comment XD I mean, Anteater comeover XD But I agree, the scene with Fuuko WAS a bit streched. part of Beauty of Kanon was that Therefore, I found the thing with Fuuko actually a bit irritating, altough the thing with the star WAS actually pretty funny XD and the fact that she ran off with Tomoyas money. Crisu - Personally I loved those "mastered____!" notices XD Tomoya always cracked me up in those moments. As for the summary... I loved the Gag at the beginning XD no sense whatsoever... then thinking "is there a punchline to this??" Also yeah, i noticed that there are more references to that book (don't remember the name, only read the summary)... How many of you want to bet that the book Kotomi gave t Okazaki was actually *that* book? :) And yeah, i'm dying to know what's coming next. BTW, Crisu - when I looked at your Sig I thought "Damn...Tsuka-chan and Kagamin look like Fujibayashi twins XD". Also characters, altough not the same, are a tad comparable. I wonder how many people actually thought that. |

| I think it was talked about as early as episode 1. ^^; Kyou the tsundere with long purple hair like Kagami. And the shyer short-haired cute Ryou as Tsukasa. And Konata and Tomoya both have blue hair? :3 They've also made similar facial expressions as I've pointed out here. As other bloggers have mentioned, Fuuko is just abusing her ghost powers now. ^^; "My real body is still in the hospital, but now that I've fulfilled my wish to have my sister's wedding, I'm just going to run around and spook people until I actually wake up! | So happy they had Fuko back, if only for a short time. I DEMAND MORE FUKO! Anyway kick ass episode. When Kotomi broke down by the bus it just an amazing moment. Really a sad moment, but was such a 180 from her personality that I think it added SO many layers to her character development in just that few seconds. It's sad to finally see what we've kinda always known brought to light, but now the happy good feelings stuff can start. (I have been fooled by Key Production before though.) |

| Great episode but it just didn't feel right... From the random reappearance of Fuuko to Kotomi's mental breakdown, I just felt that things were a bit over the top this time. But it does make me wonder what kind of story Kotomi's arc will have because it seems completely original so far. ^_^ |

| While Fuko is my least favorite of the main characters, her appearence was hilarious. The group date was just awesome. The girls in casual clothes <3333333333 Even though I should've saw it coming, i did not expect them to pull the "we knew each other from before" connection between Kotomi and Tomoya. I don't find these situations to be overused or old since I rather like them, so this is getting me very excited about the next episode. 3 weeks is too far away, at least it'll let the ws releases catchup i guess. |

| Well, Fuko isn't dead, she's in a coma. In other words, unless they decide to kill her off completely, they need to remember viewers about her until the day she wakes up. Plus, she probably is always hanging out with them even when they can't truly see her. As for the episode, the Fuko scene was a little too overdone but nonetheless good. Also, I'm not sure if I'm liking the way they are going with Kotomi's story. At first it seemed like her parents died in a fire, and then we sorta see a trafic accident of sorts. And the fact Tomoya ended up being a childhood friend of her's (What the) plus it almost looked like it was he who was burning up the house while the old guy stopped him and Kotomi just cried scared in a corner. So I'm just bloody confused. The wait will be so damn hard. |

| Knew they would leave a huge cliffie to torture us...Damn you kyoani!!! Looks like the kotomi arc will end in the next 1-2 episodes, poor Kotomi-chan...So Kotomi was triggered by the accident scene...poor girl...The meaning of that quote still eludes me though...Just can't figure it out ='( At around 10:08, very first time I've seen kyoani skimp on animation! Ryou-chan was saying her goodbyes with her mouth closed! This has to be a first...better fix that on the dvd release kyoani!!! Hope things end well for Kotomi...favourite Clannad character as of now...letting her cry like that is just so heart-wrenching...that and she is probably living all by herself and trying her hardest to cope by herself...damnit Tomoya you better step up! *sharpens pitchfork* |
Great episode overall, I enjoyed the comic relief but it's like I'm watching Lost. Everytime one question gets answered I have 20 more. |

| this episode scared me O.O the fuko scene was funny, and the big doll was from kanon (the present sayuri got for mai) it looks like kotomi's arc will most likely end in 2 more eps, which leaves 10 eps left.. how are they going to fit kyou, tomoyo and nagisa's arc in 10 eps?? |

| Kanon was able to finish after a late start. Makoto finished in ep10 and Mai finished in ep15, right? Although Nayuki didn't get a whole lot, I think. I have faith in KyoAni, though; they'll do it right. Back to Kotomi's scream, I'm not sure how far away she was from the crowd. It sure took Tomoya and co. an extra five or so seconds before they rushed over to Kotomi. And there wasn't any background noise of surprised bystanders. It felt a little too quiet, but I understand if they wanted to put all the focus on Kotomi. |

| That was a pretty good ep. I cant wait to find out what the guy in black did that would classify him as a "bad guy". The whole Fuko part was random and funny at the same time. I was a bit disappointed though that they brought her back after that dramatic ending of her disappearing in the first ark. |

| Talking ahead of the future are we? Well, I'm here not for the speculation of the coming stories but apparently they're mixing Kyou's part since the earlier episodes and it's building up bit by bit. This is the first episode I've seen after I finished watching Kanon. Sigh, I can't believe how I actually start to compare Clannad with it. (; >_<) This episode was supposedly suspenseful but I didn't feel that way. Hopefully it'll end beautify with the supernatural side of it. Now I'm looking forward to how will Tomoya face his flashbacks and how could he forget such important memories. p.s. Love to see Fuko again, lol. The day until they will reunite... eh? |

| Ouch, that "we were childhood friends thing" was weak. Because of Kanon of course (if not for that I would of thought this was a great twist). Don't tell me Tomoya secretly knew the other girls somehow also, without knowing. As already mentioned, the animation for the bus break down scene was fantastic, reminiscent of Misuzu's highly emotional and tearful breakdowns during AIR. When Kotomi broke down and mumbled that she would be a good girl, I immediately speculated that she was abused at home somehow. Guess I was wrong, once I saw the house was suspiciously empty it was pretty easy to guess that she lived alone. But if the school knew of her parent's death and how alone she was, the school could have attempted to help Kotomi become friends with her other classmates, rather then allow her to continuously be alone even at school. That isn't good for one's mentality, no? |
