| One Piece - too long. I started watching it a few weeks ago on the recommendation of basically all of my anime-watching friends, and while it's definitely enjoyable, I really don't want to watch another 600 episodes of this when there's so much else out there to watch. Not dissing the content though - it's a fun show, and I'm sure it gets better, I just don't feel like sitting through it. Bleach - same reason, too long, except I've never seen an episode. TTGL - I watched the first few episodes and found it boring as hell. I didn't even like Kamina, lol. It was just all really dull. JoJo is an infinitely superior version of this anime in terms of explosive, over-the-top panache. Clannad - on the fence about this one. I don't wanna watch it because it looks too exploitative in terms of eliciting audience reaction (e.g. LOOK GRIL IS CRAING PLS FEEL BAD 4 HER) - not saying that Clannad is like this, but atm I don't feel like going through 26 episodes to find out. Mawaru Penguindrum - also on the fence, because I had heard how unintelligible this anime was with its symbolism and how the second half was a mess in terms of plot. However, I recently found out that the guy who wrote and directed Utena also directed this, and Utena is the fuckin bomb, sooooo maybe I will watch it... |

| Terra Formars - the most disturbing thing I've seen in a long time, I saw the OVA and that was enough to make me disgusted. I'm not even complaining about the gore because I've enjoyed anime series with gore in the past, this anime is just creepy. Of course that's my opinion. One Piece - the sheer number of episodes is overwhelming, I think I saw only a few in the past. I can only imagine the amount of fillers this anime has. Seems that length is a popular reason here. Gantz - I read the manga, but I can't make myself see the anime. It's too cruel for my weak human heart. |
