That is exactly true, read it again people, The merger of the two beings is what awakened, and Claire did not get a new technique, she got memories. What she does with the memories is different though. |

| oh wow... another superpower... and just when easley died, he's automatically replaced lol but i love how clare's fighting style is basically a combination of all of her comrades' cool moves. and now she's getting something from rafaela? it's not a move but perhaps something more important plot-wise? very cool. so what big mistake is clare making? maybe the memories will tell her...? |

| Dream sequence? Really? For some reason, I find it hard to believe something of that nature can occur in the world painted by the mangaka. But whatever. Claire - by getting the memories - should gain a few new abilities to use. And I do agree that the new form that was awakened that people are sensing is someone different. |

Well they really left as with a huge cliffhanger. I realize that the new power is the new creature and not Clare but since they mention that Clares yuki raised dramatically for a second, i wonder if Clare along with the memories got a small power bust. Now we have to wait and see if this thing is even more powerful than Riful or even Priscilla. |

Rafaela said in repsone to Clare that the form she is in now would be destroyed when her true awakening occurs, whether Clare strikes her down or not. The fact that she said 'her true awakening' leads me to believe that 'Raciela' is not a new entity, but still Rafaela herself. Memories are everything. Rafaela's line was "Carve it into your body. This is everything I possess." Her memories were the only thing she had left, and she gave them all to Clare. Everything. In respone to SS4L, even though I previously stated that I didn't think it was Rafaela that awakened I'm thinking now that it might have been. Rafaela said her current form would be destroyed when her true awakening occurs whether Clare strikes her down or not, so shes basically saying that her true form will awaken either way, it's inevitable. |
| I loved this chapter. Certainly was confused at first. Seems like things are building up again to something big with all the major players taking notice of a new threat. Raphaela's newly acquired memories probably also mean a further progression in plot & fleshing out of the backstory. |

| Blah, so Clare gets new powers, and a new AO appears. Clare is like mishmash of the best claymores now. I certainly don't like where the story is heading to. Isley got killed off, Riful is practically death-sentenced already, the "continent" turned out to be insignificant(it is(still) true that I don't know if this change is for good or bad, but still).. it's like everything I liked about this manga is slowly fading away. Oh, yeah, also my favorite Claymore is dead as well now. |
