| This is even better than episode 21 of the anime. The servants' histories, although only hinted in this chapter, seem to be the same as the anime, which makes me think the anime writers had spoken with Yana Toboso about it before making that episode. But damn...just damn. |

| A few of the chapters before this were pretty meh but this made up for them several times over. Nothing short of epic, makes the flaws in the characters have some meaning while keeping their quirks. I still reckon Finni is cute despite the whole psychoness. |

| omg omg omg!!!!! i was suspecting those servants had other skills for them to be employed by ciel and sebastian, but i wasn't expecting them to be former soldiers!!! this chapter was truly amazing \o/ though i do feel sad for the circus troupe in a way, but then again they were not exactly innocent. |

| Wow. That was good. I just loved when Tanaka was hiding the body from Elizabeth xD (err... hiding? He was standing in... at... damn, no words D:) Oh, and two things: Elizabeth was practically ignoring all noise - one question and than going back to sleep isn't really convincing... And it would be cooler if the "Phantomhive family servants" didn't destroy half of the mansion - I mean, after a few fights the house woudn't look very representative, would it? xD Cause, I mean - one great maid-sniper, one great cook-soldier, one great psycho gardener AND three great bricklayers? Wouldn't it be too much? xD |

| Totally great!! the anime is nothing compared to this manga, and this chapter was really great..I never thought it could get that scary...for a moment I found myself thinking that now this has some seinen elements with all the blood..not that I mind either..XD. I like those servants even more, I was always wondering why they were so stupid in their chores..but now we see they are actually pretty qualified for their jobs. :D... But I liked the circus guys..seriously, I hope the joker doesn't die at least...they were great until we found out they were so coldhearted following orders..maybe that's why they made great villains? I am looking forward to the next chapters so much! |

| Yep, I was right. This chapter way levels above episode 21 in the anime which showed the same thing, the servants real skills. There are literally a hand-full of cases in which I prefer the manga to the anime, but Kuroshitsuji is definitely one of them. It was quite interesting actually how the writers chose to throw some hints about the pasts of the three characters and not to specifically show them how it was done in the anime. But now I'm getting the Madam Red feeling again :(. I felt so sad and angry when she died, probably because after her in the anime at least there weren't any more enemies as intriguing as her, but the manga manages to bring forward interesting characters in every chapter. The conflict between Ciel and the circus people was well-developped and there was no doubt in my mind that they had to die, but I can't help but feel a bit sorry for them; they were just some poor unlucky miserable people who tried to live according to the rules of the only person that ever showed them sympathy. Kinda like Madam Red that went umm... crazy!!! because she (thought) she had lost eveyone she had ever loved. And all these heavy punishments that await 'sinners' really got me thinking. Because let's face it, Ciel ain't no angel O_o. So if this is what other characters have to pay for their mistakes, I wonder how great will Ciel's punishnment for his sins be?... ...or it won't happen 'cause he's the main blue-eyed character and gets special treatment o_O? anyway, I think he is gonna pay and not just his soul to Sebastian, he's gonna pay a lot more for all the other evil things he's done. And not because I say so or believe in that sort of thing but because in my opinion this is the general concept of the story. |
