I just realized that I've watched almost 700 episodes of this show and never wrote down my favorite cases. I guess I'm going to start rewatching it one of these days. |

if you want just pure case episode 174 is always a good choice, it follows the classic idea of Mystery too but on sea instead of a mansion on some lone island (overused) There's also a 2 hour Heiji case in the 200s you should check that out it's like Conan side but with Heiji @ Osaka I loved the shit out of it 304 is another good one but that's Metropolitan Police Love storyline you should check the episodes out from detectiveconanworld I guess... there's quite a few episodes for that but they're good. Miracle Air Walk with Kid is epic, episode 490 is Heiji vs Shinichi in ski slope 521-523 is a Murderer:Shinichi Kudo that I really liked (you need to check the earlier episodes for the Ran and Shinichi episodes because I dont remember atm) The London arc is in the 600s I think don't really remember... I guess you already saw these but episode 11 the moonlight Sonata murder case, episode 27-28 another great case with Kogoro moments (I like Kogoro..) 34-35 I guess was Sonokos sisters mansion case I dont really remember it but there's a case with a Woman and her Sister that was really good but it's episodes 129 and something in the english version Case Closed I dont remember what it was in the DC version Tbh I suggest you check out if there's episodes that have recurring characters outside from the Detective Boys (Mitshiko, Genta and Ayumi..) Or episodes that dont have them at all, just Conan, Ran and Kogoro |

Hi.. I love to watch Detective Conan since 2008 and this anime makes me to become a mystery anime fan and I want to watch once again episodes where the murder is more ruthless and the mystery is much more complex. as what I see on today's detective conan murder case and mystery is not the same as what I enjoy watching on the past. would you guys recall me on the episodes where detective conan is much like the same on Kindaichi Case Files. |

Hmm well Kindaichi is actually not as much into Mystery as Conan (yeah I know it sounds odd but it has so much drama etc, also the cases are way longer and made by multiple person 4 or so people, While DC is made by one person) but if you didn't know you should check out a guide for non Anime Original episodes at detectiveconanworld site (the mysteries aren't that well thought out in them..) there's actually one case coming after next episode you might want to wait a month or so because it's arc well I've seen episode 174 many times and it's great, pretty sure youll like it too |

orithyea said: Yeah, it was. The fifth movie was the first one I watched, so it has a special place in my heart lol. The other movies could've passed as normal episodes though. :/ Same 'ol, same 'ol bombs. I just realized... I never actually found any of the DC one-shot villains to be TERRIFYING. I mean, most of the cases are either 1 ep or 3 episodes longs, so I suppose that's a cause. But the villaisn seems to almost ALWAYS have some justification, and then Kogorou goes and says "You ruined your pride as ____ Because you used ___ to kill!" then they break down crying. Never has a villain once t hat really intimidated me once he did that. None of them did something like *Smirks* "Knife pops out" Then JUMP at Mouri to kill him, then escape, or something like that. Or maybe kill everyone at the scene and escape. |

I'm not glorifying 'fucked up', for lack of better phrasing, people, but I do want to see Gosho take on a different path when the culprits have been caught or cornered. Sometimes I see the motives as silly, although I'm not in the position to say such.orithyea said: Yeah, it was. The fifth movie was the first one I watched, so it has a special place in my heart lol. I tend to really like the adventure-style episodes involving the Detective Boys Here's a few good ones: #33 - Detective Boys' Survival Case #73 - The Detective Boys' Disaster Case #110 - The Seven Mysteries of Teitan Elementary School Case #225 - The Secret of the High Sales #281 - The Small Eye-Witnesses #352-353 - The Fishing Tournament Tragedy If you're looking for a good cabin horror episode, you should check out the iconic two part episode between #34-35, titled "Mountain Villa Bandaged Man Murder Case" Another absolute classic case would be #27-28, titled "Kogoro's Class Reuinion Murder Case" In fact, I'd say you should really watch the first couple hundred episodes or so, even if you're going to pick and choose after that... because that's when Detective Conan was really at it's best. I'd say a big turning point for the series was after episode 193. Not to say that everything after that was bad, but... the story between episodes 188-193 (titled "Desperate Revival") just hit on such a high note, and the pacing seemed to start to go slower and slower after that. |

Problem with this series is that its "plot" is so thinly spread! Sometimes we'd literally have to wait a year for the last plot point to pick up, so it feels like they never happened by the time it gets picked up again. I hope the series gets a "mangaka's cut" edition where only the best episodes and the black org episodes are done. this could've been a MASTER PIECE had it been a 2 - 3 seasons 24 episodes series. |

Yeah, perhaps after the series ends they could do a kind of "Dragon Ball Kai" situation. However, Detective Conan is even longer than both Dragon Ball and DBZ put together... and Kai only re-mastered DBZ, which was about 300 episodes I feel like it's interesting with Detective Conan, though... since there is such a long time between new plot points, it ends up being more satisfying whenever they do address it, since you end up waiting so long. I guess I don't entirely dislike the structure of Detective Conan, but... I just feel like this one main plotline has been going on for far too long, and they should change it to something else. |

Everything with the Black Organization. Everything with Hattori and Kazuha. Everything with Kaitou Kid. Every case in style "And Then There Were None". Every case in isolated place. Every case in house or mansion full of secret passages and traps. Every case in Gunma. Every case in Nagano. Lately Everything with Sera's really complicated family ties. Everything with shipping and there is a lot of it: - The main couples: Shinichi/Ran, Hattori/Kazuha and Kogorou/Eri. - Police Love Story (and it continues in other arcs). - The affaires of the rest of police officers: Megure (how he met his wife), Chiba, Yumi ect. - Sonoko's troubled (by her stupidity) love life. - Kobayashi-sensei. - Jodie-sensei's unrequited love. - Agansa/Fusae. |

The best episodes are the Black Organisation episodes or the ones where there are multiple episodes for the same case (3+) not the two parters, e.g. "The Desperate Arrival" which is like 6 episodes in total :D |
